NEW MORMON MESSAGE
Spiritual Dynamite
Invite more spiritual power into your life by combining family history with the blessings of the temple. Elder Dale G. Renlund has promised that those who do will experience protection from temptation and receive personal power to change, repent, learn, become more holy, and help turn the hearts of family members to “heal that which needs healing.”
If the dead could speak in language, loud as then thousand thunders, calling upon the servants of Godt to rise up and build temples, magnify their calling and redeem their dead.
President Willford Woodruff ( Discourse September 16, 1877)
baptizing people post-humously doesn’t absolve them of their sins. baptizing people post-humously does not erase their spiritual history. baptizing people post-humously doesn’t make them automatically mormon.
disrespecting the legacy of the dead in your temples will not make them the people you want them to be.
Rat snacks. So I've gone to look over my genealogy finally after a few years and mannnn There's a lot I need to sort out. You guys know of any church articles or how-to videos on this? Or just Family Search stuff in general? I missed my Ward's fireside thinking well hey I got this pfft I can tell y'all now I ain't got this 😂
nothing irks me more than not being able to seal MY OWN GRANDPARENTS because of this 110 years permission request. I sat on their laps.. I held my grandmothers hand when she was sick in hospital several weeks before she died.. and i cannot even reunite her with my granddad because of this new rule .......... do you know what irks me even more about the fact I cannot do further ordinance work for the dead and require solid permission? the point that this 110 years since birth policy is only around because some people ruined it for us all and decided to do work for those who they shouldn't have, so now we need permission even for those loved ones who held us when we were still in diapers. Thanks a bunch guys. this is why we cannot have nice things.. who decides to get baptised more than once for Elvis anyway? “probably american.. think they own everything” (finding nemo reference)
Just thinking about the Temple Workers on the opposite side of the vail.
In this noisy, bustling, competitive world, what a privilege it is to have a sacred house where we may experience the sanctifying influence of the Spirit of the Lord. The element of selfishness crowds in upon us constantly. We need to overcome it, and there is no better way than to go to the house of the Lord and there serve in a vicarious relationship in behalf of those who are beyond the veil of death.
Gordon B. Hinckley
