I offer you:

Two friends waking up as cogless versions of Termagax and Terminus in the Transformers One universe, after dying being shot. They both lay low working as miners before meeting D-16. Then decide to become mentors/parental figures in order to change his fate. Because there has to be at least one timeline where D-16 doesnt go rogue with rage, right?

Bonus points if the duo were criminals in another life and taught D-16 how to pick locks, smuggle objects from other bots, or being persuasive while lying/covering tracks. Extra points if they both make D-16 doubt about Sentinel’s reign while being subtle about it. Also give D-16, IDW Megatron’s passion for writing.

(Yes, this technically counts as a reader insert?? Maybe not, maybe yes.)

Earlier I was thinking about how Megatron seems to have a lot of potential “parental” figures/creators, so I ended up making a chart of all the ones I could remember, with the order being based on canonicity

I mean, I suppose technically Sentinel and Liege should be switched in that regard, given Bayverse is definitely more known than the G2 comics, but I also only remembered Sentinel later and added him out of obligation, so whatever. They’re of similar status anyways, only being canon in one thing

Honestly, when I had the original thought I figured he had more, but I guess not. Granted, he could have more in other continuities I don’t know about, and I’m also not sure where someone like Megazarak or even Galvatron would fit into this either. But five’s still plenty

Also another thought, while I know Terminus is definitely the most popular one to make Megatron’s parental figure, I don’t know who’s second place. I would assume Termagax since it’s not like people don’t use IDW2 stuff, given Codexa’s prominence, but I also don’t think I see too much of her. I feel like I’ve seen more for Megatronus (usually also paired with Prima), but that’s also usually TF One specific, aka one of the newest big things, so that might be recency bias. Also potentially my own bias because for my AU I used Megatronus and Liege Maximo (and also Terminus later but less so)

But yeah, I don’t really know why I made this, but I did, so take this observation

Ever since I got introduced to the concept of Bumblebee or Hot Rod/Rodimus being made megop children born from them I always wondered where the fuck all that yellow came from. At least with Hot Rod the red makes sense since that's one of Op's colors but in most iterations neither Op or Megs has any amount of yellow on them

And then I remembered

This lady exists

Given that her face is yellow im assuming her whole protoform is that color which means she is all yellow under the armor.

So now everytime I see Bee or Rody as a megop child I assume the yellow is a recessive trait from Grandmama Termagax that reappeared in full swing and overwrote most of her son and son-in-law's coding in the colors department (specially with Bee lmao)

Hmm as of right now no, slowly making my way through comic runs and shows, currently focusing on IDW and TFP. Soo I've yet to get many panels from IDW2 into the new horde lol. However I shall skip ahead to temporarily get some for this post, I hope you enjoy and I apologize this has taken a while to answer.
