became obsessed with G1-ified rewrite of Megaempress and her 4 Guards, so came up with renames and ideas (cause I really hate their names and characterizations)

Megaempress → Megajoule? Megajewel? Megatonne? Megatrix? genuinely no clue

Megaempress might be fine as is, it's a very hard name to work with. Megatron is megaton (measurement of explosive force) + electronic, so I looked at other measurements like joules or spellings, and -trix is a feminine suffix. I think if I had to change it, I'd go with Megatrix, but as you might imagine, the Matrix of Leadership makes this very difficult

Lunaclub → Sidereal

Luna is the one who crushes on Starscream, so I used "sidereal", having to do with stars. It's supposed to be pronounced like "sid-ear-ial", but in a case of G1 jank they'll say it "side-real" which sounds like a cool-guy TF name anyways. Maybe the bulky muscle of the Guards, turns into a tank?

Moonheart → Life Spark

Moonheart is the medic and inexplicably has "heart" in the name, so since Life Spark is not a real person, I'm claiming the name for her. There's people named Alma, so it's not weird. And she needs to be messed up. TF medics always got to be. and no, her Valentine Skullgirls routine doesn't count, even Valentine herself is deeper than that

also severing the sibling link between Sidereal and Life Spark that Luna and Moon had, I find it unnecessary

Trickdiamond → Replica, Dead Ringer?, Simulacra, Bootleg

I actually don't mind her name, but for creativity's sake, something to emphasize her duplicitous nature. Tried a sorta Chromia approach of a word that could pass as a girl's name, as well as other compound names. Maybe give her a Jem and the Holograms disguise power? Maybe turns into the left arm...

Her personality doesn't need any edits as it's interesting and doesn't revolve around her being a girl, and it shows in her having the privilege of existing in IDW2 fully realized without any of the others lmao

Flowspade → Keychain, Keystone

Flowspade's not that bad a name. A spy, and the closest member to Megaempress, so someone who can get around behind enemy lines perhaps with a chain weapon, or is the MVP of the group (and can literally form the right hand?)

Taking back her whole deal of originally being a plant by Shockwave, but would reinstate it as like, a story idea. Since these Guards are created Combaticon style, i.e. being preexisting people, maybe she can have a history with him? Shocks tries to counter-recruit her again since she's only been aligned with Megaempress for a short time?

Megatronia → Imperatrix, Imperatron, Imperion?, Imperia?, Amazonia, maybe this one can be Megatrix?

[huge shrug] imperatrix is Latin for empress, tried the -ion combiner format, also played with the girlboss angle and referenced the Amazons. not to mention me considering shifting the name Megatronia over to empress herself after changing the combiner's name

I did love the card theming but it made the names clunky so I think it's best left a visual component. I did use my Cybertronian playing card headcanons as something to work off of for some of the names

and I made sure these names weren't genuinely taken

maybe the ladies will rescue and recruit Nightbird, and maybe Slipstream can be here. Megaempress can collect women like Pokemon cards

Megaempress (Shattered Princess)

Like all characters, I’m giving her issues, a lot of issues.

So anyways like in her canon she was made by the parts and pieces of Megatron. I don’t like that they made her love Megatron, that’s just in my taste, so in my version she is his basically clone daughter.

Clones have their own entirely lore thing im gonna write up at one point cause it’s basically a timeline process of all the stuff they did to reach what Predaking was, cause trust me, there were stages of cloning in my au.

But anyways her cloning process came from using a basically near dead spark that was found. Basically all major CLONING at least uses a dead spark, or nearly dead spark that lost its energon and CNA to the point it can be manipulated.

So under certain bots they got to work making an heir to Megatron. Someone that could continue on the Decepticon cause if he were to ever falter, to create himself once more. The issue became, …he got attached to this creation. As time passed with more experimentation that created other unique properties away from cloning, he always checked in to make sure that his clone would not falter and grow properly.

And grow it did, basically having 95% of its energon being straight from Megatron there was no point to jab it full of CNA. It was, in almost all essence Megatron. But that 5% well, that’s how they came in one night to find the spark grown into its shape and realize its plating was becoming pink, and well it was a femme. Now this wasn’t the intended target, and the scientific board worried they would be executed due to not have a true clone for him.

But Megsy surprised everyone by just, …staring. Sure it wasn’t him, …but it was better that way. Looks almost just like him in every other way that mattered, claws that could tear a bot apart, jaws to bite like a rabid dog if needed, strength that equaled his own. And turns out that spark was an outlier, an ability to make others listen to her with just words. …She may not be him, but she was still an heir, and she could still do the job that she was made for.

They continued on creating, given this was suppose to be someone to continue on his legacy if he were to perish, they did what was deemed necessary. They downloaded as many files and videos as they could have Megatron’s life, from start to …not finish. They managed to collectively put in up to when Megatron or at the time Dion was denied primacy in favor of Orion Pax.

Shockwave pulled the plug on the project. He believed that Megatron would not wait until his own demise to release this creature out of its pod. He saw how the warlord looked everytime he entered to check the progress on her. It was not the face of someone who was seeing their backup plan, another body they could turn to if they ever reached their breaking point.

It was instead a father seeing his daughter, with joy in his eyes. This couldn’t stand, if Megatron were to breach his own emotional boundaries to ‘love’ this abomination of science and failure, then he would do what was necessary for the betterment of the cause and their own survival. He pulled the plug on the memory transfers causing internal issues within the cortex, memories and present would be collided together, unable to tell which one was truly their own reality.

He hid the pod as far away as he could. He lied and said it was taken by the Autobots, ..and destroyed. This only caused the warlord to continue down his already swirling spiral, just another blow to his own ego causing him to lose more of his moral chains and becoming something worse then what could’ve been predicted.

Cut forward to post war, everything is alive again. Bots finding bots, redemptions, continuation of life. And an undisturbed hidden laboratory on Cybertron’s moon, that due to new construction, cracked open a pod that hasn’t been touched in years.

MEGAEMPRESS

She existed now, and she didn’t truly understand the gravity of her existence until after awhile. For the most part she’s …comedic. She doesn’t truly take anything seriously when she first appears, she seems more inclined to find ..allies for herself. She makes them, the first two at least. She created Moonheart and Lunaclub as ..guards, knights, …friends. Utilizing the energy left over due to her tubing, she was able to take a spark from the river and use the pod to create a full fledged being. She ended up with twin sisters instead, dubbing them their names due to the helm and visor they carried.

When she set out she ended up meeting Trickdiamond, the daughter of Swindle and Lockdown, well not truly a daughter. More a side effect of two bots looking to find a way to make money by having an extra pair of hands. She dubs never of them as her parents, simply as the bots who injected a spark with their CNA and created her. Her original name was Goldrush, but after meeting and starting to follow Megaempress, she was renamed Trickdiamond.

Flowspade was the last to follow. She was an decepticon assassin during the war, young, quiet, and willing to do what she must. After the war she was lost like many, hired by Shockwave who was hiding away to find a pod that held someone. This someone being Megaempress, they dueled and the Empress defeated her. She could’ve killed her then and there but she made her a proposition, die or become one of her guards. And so she did, took the longest to fully connect with the others, but once she did, she too renamed herself. She held no name, spent so long changing it over and over again for the cause she could no longer remember which was the correct one. And so she was dubbed Flowspade, the final guard and knight to the Queen.

Megaempress loves her guards, more than anything. They are her family, just as two more who become not guards but brothers to her. Shockblast and Soundblaster, clones of the great Shockwave and Soundwave. Their existence is its own story, but when the three found it each other, it truly was a grand meet. Their family only grew in size as they reeked, …small havoc around. They seemed threatening, and had the ability to do severe harm but they never truly pushed so far.

Not until Empress met Hot Rod, and that’s when the memories becomes an issue. She held the memories of Megatron right to when he left Optimus after the primacy. And here was the son of Optimus, what a grand retelling of an old tale. At least that’s how it was in her mind, it was twitching and turning in trying to keep a past not her own with the present that was.

Brutus, the song held everything that was her. Past of her pain, and part of retelling and seeing the past in the eyes of her father. She envies Hot Rod for having a dear father, all she got was a deaf one. And she is remembering the memories of her own unit that was reliving the tragedy for not being the one to become beyond what he was, the anger, the hatred that was felt towards his old friend.

Megatron returns, post war after his self exile, transforming into a bounty hunter and finding the peace within himself returning home after so long. Returning because he learned of a monster of his own making that he believed was dead. A daughter he never got to meet, a daughter who believe he was him of the past. He truly had to fight his own demons that were before the war as a final test of himself.

I’m still unsure of how i would end this arc, this would take place a long while after the main events of my central au All Systems Normal, so for now that’s where it leaves off.
