Sazed
I like Sazed. Next to Vin, he is probably my favorite character of the first Mistborn trilogy... at least so far in my reread... ---------------------------
[image description: Digital painting of Sazed in his Terris Steward robes. He has overall elongated features with light, tan skin, a shaved head and a more strongly developed epicanthic folds. His hears are rimmed with various earrings, piercings and studs, his lobes slightly elongated to hold more jewellery. There is also a small metal stud in one of his nasal wings. His robes are made out of complicated arrangement of triangular cut cloth in orange and purple, which also is patterned with triangular shapes. The fingers on his hand are all adorned with rings made from various metals. He looks slightly upwards with a serene but discerning expression, a light smile in the corner of his mouth.]
In some Cosmere planets (Mistborn, Warbreaker, and Stormlight Archive), people use servants and/or slaves as status symbols. There are Terris stewards in Mistborn. There are the Lifeless in Warbreaker. There are Master-Servants and Parshmen in Stormlight Archive.
... you were a living contradiction even then, Saze.
I should have seen it.
Day 8 of drawvember: my favorite character from Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series, Sazed! 😍
When a person dies in the Physical Realm, the person's soul (or spirit? or cognitive self?) appears in the Cognitive Realm.
My question is: what kind of soul appears when a kandra dies? Would it have the appearance of a kandra in true body, a kandra in its current body, a mistwraith, a Terrisperson, or a patchwork of different souls?
Sazed portrait as I continue to chip away preliminary concepts for his Terrisman robes. Done in ballpoint pen, phone didn’t help much with subtleties. Oh well.
I write these words in steel, for anything not set in metal cannot be trusted.
