Could we perhaps get some rainmakers please?

It started with Starscream. Just one tired Starscream taking a nap on the floor or whatever comfy surface he can find.

Then Thundercracker came along, rudely intruding into his personal space and wrapping himself around his trineleader. The Winglord didn’t even try to push him away, knowing full well he wasn’t going anywhere, and simply accepted his fate.

Next, Skywarp found them and promptly threw himself onto both of them. He always did it, thinking that the noises they made was funny. He picked a spot, and laid down with his frame over both of them. Starscream gave a groan of irritation, but it wasn’t real enough to be taken seriously, and he let his helm fall back down so he could go back into recharge.

But then…

The rainmakers found them. Starscream had obviously fallen into recharge at this point, which is probably the only reason why they decided with a single shared look that they were suddenly exhausted and needed to lay down immediately or they’d go offline.

Ion Storm laid next to Thundercracker, careful not to disturb his wings. They all knew that if Skywarp and Thundercracker were awake and had any complaints, they’d voice them, which is why they settled down so quickly in the quiet. Nova Storm squeezed themselves between Ion Storm and Acid Storm.

Then Thrust found them.

Then Sunstorm, then Dirge, then Skyquake…

Starscream came out of recharge first. He probably wouldn’t admit it, but his optics felt much less heavier and he felt more energized than he had in cycles. He could still feel his trine mates on him and had made the almost instinctive decision to stay until they woke up when he realized that there wasn’t just warmth coming from his right and on top of him…

It was everywhere. His helm was resting on something that wasn’t there before. His legs felt crushed, not by harsh force, but by something heavy simply laying across it. His left side was pressed against by a pair of metal wings.

Quickly and carefully, Starscream sat up and maneuvered his left servo in what little space he could find to prop himself up and look around. His optics widened at the amount of seekers around him. He began running the names of every seeker he saw, even turning his helm to look over his shoulder.

Every seeker in the armada was there.

The rainmakers were sleeping on Thundercracker’s opposite side, the bot next to him was Dreadwing and Skyquake cuddling with each other, the weight on his legs was Slipstream, and the thing his helmet rested on was a cushion. It wasn’t here before.

Seeing as no one else was around, Starscream allowed himself a smile. His spark felt warm, a feeling that had become almost unfamiliar during the war.

Between how long the war had lasted, how lost he felt seeing that the decepticon cause was running itself into the ground, a strong sense of helplessness under Megatron, and his anger for what happened to Vos almost gone now, he’d nearly forgotten why he was fighting in the first place.

Starscream laid back down, careful not to disturb anyone, and began doing what he did best. He started planning. He had adjustments to make for Flight Zero.

Too many “___storm”s in this house

I think Seekers polish each other like birds in a flock preening. It is Very Important Bonding Time and interrupting polish hour runs the risk of being fired upon.

Highlights:

- Starscream tolerates polishing for a short time and then gets annoyed and wants to do it himself. Thundercracker drags Starscream by the ankle when he tries to leave. TC thinks he’s the only one who polishes thoroughly enough. If Starscream is too rowdy, TC will sit on him.

- Starscream trolls TC/Skywarp by drawing obscene images with the polishing wax before buffing it in.

- Ion Storm enjoys the polish and purrs when it’s their turn. The purring also comes with mild electric currents that perturb some of the others.

- Skywarp optimizes the wax formulations. He is extremely proud of his latest recipe. The others aren’t quite sure what the differences are, so they just nod along.

- Acid Storm sometimes makes Skywarp’s formulae ever so slightly acidic. Not enough to severely damage anybody, but enough that it itches.

Jalopy has energon stains on his hands turning them partly blue

Blurr has orange exhaust pipes on his head

Smokescreen has the phase shifter

Each Seeker keeps their wings at a different angle when at rest

Slipstream has the same eye markings as Windblade

The Rainmakers have breathing apparatuses as mouthplates

Divebomb’s bird head can flip down as a battle mask in robot mode

Nightbeat has flame decals on his arms

Blast off has greyed out optics

Swindle looks like he has a mustache

Mirage looks like he has a balaclava on

Impactor has a launchable harpoon for a right hand

Jetfire has a cane

Perceptor has a monocle

Rampage’s (the tiger not the crab) swords sheath at her shoulders

Scavenger kinda looks like a scorpion

Skids is missing an eye

Cyclonus has a chest scar where he clawed off Unicron’s symbol

Huffer wears his truck cab like a hood

The triple changers change color scheme and face design depending on which personality is active

Maccadam’s cane is actually a hammer

Mal's F1 Seekers - The Rainmakers

Finally, omfg-- I can post these three. IRL shit be happening, can't just sit down and draw, but we now have the F1 Rainmakers. They've been done for a while, I just finally had time to post them.

In the F1 universe, they are called the Rainmakers due to their powerful tires, which are manufactured to repel liquids and end up "raining" on anyone unfortunate enough to be nearby.

Nova Storm (based on ES she's so cool) is the leader of Team Rainmaker. Ion Storm and Acid Storm (based partially on Cyberverse) are her loyal teammates; they all work seamlessly together— mainly because Acid and Ion are perfectly content with their placements beneath her.

For AU reasons (and to give them some individuality), they all have older names. Nova Storm was Supernova, Ion Storm was Anion, and Acid Storm was Neowing. It was because of Acid's self-experimentation gone-wrong that the team's identity was formed.

Nova Storm's: "Leader of the Rainmakers She/Her Outlier Ability: N/A Equipped with weather-resistant armor, which makes her a great option for any mission into dangerous territory. NOTE: Was originally named "Supernova" until she became a Rainmaker, where she renamed herself to Nova Storm."

Ion Storm's: "Decepticon Field Medic They/Them Outlier Ability: EMP Manipulation The braincell holder of the Rainmakers. NOTE: Was originally named "Anion" until they became a Rainmaker, where they renamed themself to Ion Storm."

Acid Storm's: "Chemical Warefare Personified She/They/He Outlier Ability: Acid Generation Her tires were highly susceptible to corrosion thanks to their powers, and so she created acid-immune tire covers for all of the Rainmakers to wear. NOTE: Was originally named "Neowing" until he was accidentally infused with his acidic powers."
