Jeremy Adams on Dan Garrett, the Silver Scarab, and Expanding the Beetle Legacy
Join me for a special livestream interview with Jeremy Adams, one of the most exciting voices currently working at DC Comics! We’ll be talki
Jeremy Adams was interviewed on the Comics League podcast, where he discussed his work at DC, including The Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. During the conversation, he briefly mentioned the idea of bringing the Golden Age Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, back as the Silver Scarab.
“Sometimes you just kind of throw stuff out there, and you just, hope they’re going to say yes. It’s much better to ask for forgiveness, you know? And so, you just push forward with things. Like the Dan Garrett showing up was a big — we got into a big fight about that. And I was like, ‘You told me I could do this.’ I was so excited because I wanted to do more with the Beetles and stuff.”
Hopefully, Adams gets the chance to explore more of the Beetle and Scarab lore in the DCU. The return of Dan Garrett could open the door to stories not only for the Beetle and Reach-related characters, but also for Hawk & Dove, the Hawks, and even the Dreaming.
