a rough and dirty character sheet of Medea just to give an idea of her Vibes™. not 100% on that skintone but trying to match her in game one is actually a Nightmare so sdjfklsdhlkjdhskl it’s Close Enough.
Other info/fun facts about her:
is a colonist and sole survivor. joined the alliance basically because she has a death wish that ironically keeps getting thwarted.
lived in rural greece with her grandparents after the massacre on mindoir until she joined the alliance at 18.
has always been a goth it just gets more intense as she gets older.
is a renegade but less in a “i’m an asshole” kind of way and more in a “yes i will shoot a grandma if she’s in the way of the mission” kinda way, she just doesn’t have time for platitudes/kindness on the job.
while she’s very racist against batarians (for fairly obvious reasons) she’s actually very progressive, culturally sensitive and overall interested and respectful of other species. recognizes her own biases against batarians and tries to shunt off decisions regarding them of to garrus when she can because of it.
comes off as aloof, cold and distant to most because she is. genuinely only has a personality around like 5 people.
has considered herself to be dead since she was 16. this psychology only gets more complex after the start of ME2
extremely goal/mission oriented. very competent and good at her job.
got into warhammer 40k after she enlisted bc it’s a cult thing in the alliance like a lot of old space war media is. 40k tho resonated with her because it was one of the most bleak and horrific and it made her feel seen.
vanguard. has 1v1′d a krogan with a pistol and won and will do it again.
while she’s fond of all her crewmates, garrus is the only one she will admit is her friend and that’s more for his benefit than her own.
wasn’t religious at all until she met thane. thought there was no higher power and if there was they didn’t care until talking to him and finding the drell theology actually resonated intensely with her and converted.
actually becomes almost a real person with like, emotions, in ME2 thanks to thane, tali, mordin and garrus’ influence but loses all that progress after thane’s (and mordin’s but mainly thane’s) death and just speed runs to her own death saving the galaxy.
leaves everything she owns to garrus and kolyat. (garrus gets most of the Things and koylat her savings bc it’s weird to leave ur lover’s son like, ur baby photos when you’ve only met like once)
