After approximately 400 years of anticipation, 700 years of yearning, and 12 years being added to my lifespan from stress, Baelor and Alysanne have finally reached their wedding night.
This chapter is:
✨ long
✨ dual POV
✨ emotionally dangerous
✨ responsible for at least three separate existential crises while writing
✨ the literary equivalent of me carrying a glass bowl labeled "THESE TWO IDIOTS" through an active battlefield
I have never been more excited to post a chapter and also more terrified to discover what people think of it.
Also, yes, I did not sleep. I tried to sleep.
Unfortunately my brain spent the entire night running through a checklist that looked something like:
☐ fix this sentence
☐ check this transition
☐ does this emotional beat land
☐ are they looking at each other enough
☐ are they looking at each other too much
☐ scream
So if this post sounds slightly unhinged, that's because I am posting it from somewhere between exhaustion and euphoria.
