guys im so upset about Aaravos tdp...... imagine waiting 6 years for this character u love, your favourite character's lore to drop and its the most devastating thing u've ever heard........

I understand Aaravos' line of thinking too well now. my heart is so broken i dont think ive felt this upset for a character in a while..... last season was literally a drag to watch and this season was a step up from that at least but i really cant say I even recommend this show unless ur a lore/worldbuilding/Aaron Ehasz-writing nerd like me. BUT GODDAMN ITS WORTH IT FOR AARAVOS' 6 YEAR LONG DRIP FEED LORE. it always was.

one of my biggest gripes of the prev seasons was that it's been retitled "The Mystery of Aaravos" down the line but it never focused on him and that pissed me off so bad (again hes a favourite character) but now its like.. ah.. I get it... still doesnt make the writing and story any better but..yeah.. its all a story about love and that kills me. everything comes back to love and what it makes people do..... thats one of my favorite themes to play around with in fiction and they understood the assignment in that sense. anyway im still so fucking upset. on god Aaravos I'm gonna save u from this godforsaken show. sometimes I feel like that at least. but idk what other media a character like Aaravos could fit in. I wished TDP looked better I guess. but I also like it for what it is. anyway. Aaravos. I love him. I'm so fucking upset. I love him so much

replaying the mountain pass and…. the fact that elminster tells gale that mystra said only he could stop the absolute, and gale immediately knows that what she actually means is only the orb can stop the absolute.

because he’s fallen so far in her eyes as to not be a person anymore. he’s not even a run-of-the-mill nameless wizard. to mystra, he’s just ribs and flesh around an old artifact waiting to detonate. ougghhhhh

also, both 1) elminster referring to himself as an errand boy and 2) elminster’s residence being inns around waterdeep… because he was sent there by mystra some decades ago to find and help train an exceptional young boy. who she has now tasked elminster with finding again, only this time to tell him he has to die (and will be rewarded with a not-quite forgiveness). oughGgHGGGHH

(also also elminster needing to tell gale in indirect flowery verse not to kill himself, because he’s afraid to so brazenly defy mystra. he’s 13 centuries old and has saved the world over and over again and is terrified to directly tell the man he helped raise he doesn’t need to die, all because she might be listening. god.)

PLEASE archive all your official medias. PLEASE. Books, shorts, episodes, movies, an obscure interview the creator did, WHATEVER.

It is so disheartening to try and search for these medias that existed a few years ago but are now totally wiped from the internet. Especially now when corporations are burning shows and movies just for tax write offs.

PLEASE realize that in a few years, all you’re favorite medias could be lost forever
