They really should bring back those 60s era doctor who plots where the doctor and his companions live through completely different adventures. Barbara trying to white savior her way through Aztec society while the doctor spends the whole serial rizzing up an old woman. The doctor and Vicki stealing a dead man's identity, weaselling into Neros court, dodging assassination attempts, and starting the burning of Rome while Ian and Barbara are sold into slavery for the 15th time that week. Things of this nature

People keep saying early Classic Who is just silly stories, but keep forgetting that Hartnell had FOUR of the most horrifying stories in the ENTIRE sixty plus year run. Blink doesn't come CLOSE.

people: doctor who has become too woke >:((( the doctor is a straight cis man!!! modern who doesn't get the doctor!!!

meanwhile, classic who: barbara tells susan that a woman reincarnation of a man isn't impossible or strange. the second doctor wears a dress, is called a woman for like 2 or 3 episodes and doesn't protest at all, and says "we ladies" and "let's go, girls" (in context also including themself). the doctor and jamie were 100% fruity. the third doctor wears a dress and disguises as a cleaning lady. none of the doctors (at least the first five, i haven't watched six or seven) understood physical (sexual) attraction & beauty. (and this is just five instances, there is so much more just from the 60s)
