"Here," Carol said, trying to hand Daryl the small package of fresh bread and dried fruit she'd traded some of her contraband goods for. But he wasn't even looking at her. His eyes were fixed on you as you were receding into the crowd. "Daryl," she said, smiling to herself. "Huh?" He finally realized she was holding the little package out for him. "Oh. Thanks," he murmured. But his eyes went straight back to looking for you, but you were gone. He cleared his throat a little abashedly. "Who was that? That ya were talkin' to," he asked, unable to stop himself. Carol was still smiling to herself. "Just another survivor I've connected with," she answered. "Should I introduce you?" Her smile widened.
"What? No—" he said quickly, ducking his head under the pretense of looking at the goods she'd handed him, letting his hair curtain across his face. "I was just curious..."
"Mhmm," she hummed knowingly. "I've been meaning to introduce you actually," Carol replied.
"Wh—why?"
"Oh—no reason," she shrugged. But her knowing smile was still there and this time Daryl marked it.
His eyes narrowed. "Shut up," he growled, faking annoyance.
"I just have a feeling you two are—well—I think you'll get along..."
I have so many screenshots why not practice some thumbnails? This game is so pretty 💕
Drank radioactive water a few days ago! it tasted like blood (probably due to the high amount of iron in it), eggs (from the sulfur) and artificial sweetener (I don’t know which one made it taste like that). It also made my tongue burn and my hand shake when I touched it. So. That’s that I guess
I have a killer headache on the right side of my brain and i can’t smell anymore but i don’t think that’s related :)))
Water pictured below:
Hmmmm, the heights of these enemies though….
Quick observation:
The Walking Dead had Grady Memorial Hospital, Alexandria and The Commonwealth all run by women and they were not perfect communities by any means. I think it was smart writing to show that having women in leadership is not the cure-all people think it would be. Women are just as capable of being evil, ignoring the suffering of others and being power hungry to the detriment of the communities they serve or claim to serve. I think about Dawn, Deanna and Pamela Milton and the impact of the decisions they made. Dawn and Deanna are more fresh in my mind as I don't rewatch season 11 often. But it is a fresh hell to have a woman in leadership who turns a blind eye to sexual violence and another who allowed a man to physically abuse his wife and children due to being a "gifted surgeon".
Currently finishing up twd and I must say, when people said the show went downhill after like S7-8 they weren't kidding.
I love Lydia and some of the other characters that were introduced in these later seasons but I would choose Carl over EVERYBODY literally any day.
Like don't get me wrong, there are certain arcs that were cool for a moment or in concept.
Like the Whisperers was cool for a time but it wasn't a strong enough arc to last an entire season like this show does.
Unfortunately it relies too heavily on like ig whatever happens in the comics (outside of killing off Carl) and it's like some of this stuff may pass under dropping a certain amount of chapters/issues but in a show setting?
These important storylines are really only developed enough to maybe last 10-15 eps, not an entire 20 sumn season. So the fact that the last two seasons break the usual mold that the previous seasons had set with only having 16 eps per season, by having 20+ is one thing but on top of that having the weakest storylines in the show really is detrimental to the show as a whole.
And you can tell by how the story starts to wane in quality and even low-key how they film it too. So unfortunately I might just consider the show having ended like season 6-7 somewhere round there.
Glenn lived, Carl lived, yay happy ending 🤷
