Yeah, yeah, I know the Silmarillion is super serious. Yeah, I know how deep, and terrible, and mostly sad and heart breaking most of the story is. Yeah, I know how horrible it is how such beautiful times could be corrupted, and the villains turned such wonderful things into war and ruin and all that awful stuff, yeah I get it.

But.......

I literally cannot see this guy as anything but a rebellious teen, who didn't like his dad's music, and therefore went off and started up a punk rock band to purposefully disappoint his classical music loving father.

He was every edgy teen ever that wanted to "be different" and "stand out" cuz "this is who I am now, dad"

In fact, you could say Melkor, as he broke away from everyone, was, in fact, just becoming...... Moregoth......................

The funniest thing for me about jumping on the AKOTSK fanfiction bandwagon is that I came here for Baelor and now have somehow been converted to Maekar along the drabbled way.
