I meant to draw something for kralie day I swear but in classic robi fashion I was busy forgetting what day it was and then experiencing Horrors so. Maybe um. Next time

Osiris:

The scent of fundiment flowers in bloom cling to her silken garbs, calming and pungent, simular to the sweet scent of the water lillies on earth, or perhaps that's simply what she wants him to relate it to..

He knows she watches him yet the warlock does not raise his gaze to contest her, Osiris knows what he will find there… instead he studies the precariously rough texture of the egg settled on his lap.

Running his black nails over the barnacles reinforcing it's otherwise fragile shell, he traces the streaks of green glowing pathways mild intrigue.

She claims it to be the scars of hierarchy, a lineage of wealth that will follow this grub until they ascend.

Osiris on the other hand is skeptical.

Just an observation I’ve made from the most recent episode of The Orville:

So far, having binged this show, it’s felt so Star Trek/Mass Effect like in its execution.

But this episode? The Krill homeworld? It’s the first time it’s felt distinctly—Star Wars like. The Krill city reminds me of so many dark cities with bright neon lights in Star Wars media (Coruscant/Daiyu/Ord Mantell city), their leader is a Supreme Chancellor meeting our heroes in a dark office overlooking the city, the language on the neon signs seriously looks like Aurabesh and Ed even looks like a Jedi in a cloak at one point!

Now don’t get my wrong; it still definitely has its Star Trek qualities even in this episode. I’m just wondering what the meaning of the obvious comparisons in a Krill episode of all things is—I assume Macfarlane doesn’t write these similarities for no reason.

Did anyone else notice? Thoughts?

Never thought I’d care about a show like this but The Orville continues to have fascinating episodes with important messages. Shit dude I love it.
