David and Georgia Tennant - Promotional photos from Doctor Who The Doctor's Daughter (2008)
I just finished and I am unwell but I’ve had such an amazing time. Colin shamelessly flirting with Pen even if he does not realise he does it. That first kiss being so soft and tentative and then the look on his face after she’s left. Like he’s just realised the enormity of his feelings hitting him like a truck. His single vision once he’s kissed her. Like it’s so funny how he’s always there, just staring intensely at her and Debling. The way he drives himself mad thinking of her. Also Colin running out of balls to follow Pen is such a thing. Colin interrupting Debling’s dance and the way he stops the carriage when she’s leaving. And that carriage scene. And it’s not even a love confession. What is this man going to say to her when he confesses his love? And the scene just kept on going and the laughter at the end when they realise what they’ve done and where they are. And the gentlest and softest way he helps Pen put back her dress. They are so far gown for each other and I’m on the floor.
I know they’re STILL having this much fun together. ♥️✨
When the book is in the final chapter
Man, it’s always sad to go
(aka a quiet ode to an era that still feels like home)
Superior Subgenre: Race Satire by WOC
Here are my recommendations for satirical contemporary books by women of colour about racial fetishization and white neoliberals. Highly recommend these three books if you want to laugh, introspect, and marinate on how American society and institutions are being cooked by the culture war.
shoutout to esther the witch, she's giving real sanderson sisters hocus pocus vibes and I love
