" you know i'm good on my own . "
❝ that's not what i meant, and you know that. ❞
when the man doesn't stop, tidus lets out an annoyed huff before jogging to catch up with @meteorea, rounding around the soldier so that he stood in front of him. cloud was obviously a lone wolf who lived by the beat of his own drum, but that didn't mean that he couldn't accept some company once in a while. not even soldiers could go through life alone, shouldering a burden all by themselves. cloud's dismissal had only lit a fire with the faux blond, ocean hues surprisingly serious, determined to not let cloud pass without at least hearing him out. arms cross over his chest, resolute.
❝ you may be good on your own, but not even a soldier can go through life alone and try to shoulder the burden of saving the world by themself. and what about the people who depend on you ? not everyone can just walk away and act like this doesn't effect them. are you just gonna leave them hanging ? ❞

"The Lifestream... It is the very essence of our star.." ♥ FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH SUMMER GAME FEST 2023 TRAILER (x)
Their Voices brought some of my favorite Characters to life by lending them a voice. 🩷 So now I'll be theirs. I'm really hoping that Square Enix will consider a DLC for the Final Fantasy VII Remake Games and include both Voice casts.
That way all fans could experience the wonderful talent of both the new Voice Cast & The Original Cast. It would be a dream come true for me and I'm sure a lot of other fans too. Also, I'm sure it'd be a dream come true for all of the Original Cast to come back and reprise their roles as these characters as well.
For anyone who was a fan of Crisis Core, Advent Children, or Dirge Of Cerberus and would love to see a DLC happen in the near-future, please take a look at our petition to try and make this happen!
The Petition can be found Here.
It was the Lifestream's best kept secret, Cloud knew it, due to how often he'd been dipped in and out, Vincent knew it, due to his initially unwanted, but now close bond with Chaos, so did Aerith, Zack, Sephiroth.
Jenova, The Calamity from the Sky, was never a threat to the Lifestream.
The Mako reactors were draining, yes, but Jenova, The Calamity, was a Calamity for the PEOPLE, The Cetra and then, those who came after.
They called it such, because it meant the end of what they knew and believed.
All their knowledge, the understanding that If at risk, The Lifestream could reclaim all who remained alive, lift itself from their planet and simply, carry all within it to a new home, a new planet, and they recognized no similarities, no understanding that should they land upon some inhabited world, would they themselves, not also be considered a great and possibly terrible Calamity from the skies?
No, the truth, the reality was, the Lifestream could adapt Jenova as a new evolution as easily as it could any other "infection"
It was simply the fact that a large, intelligent portion of it's people panicked. And the Lifestream, was, itself, just fickle enough to let them, in the end, it would all be fine, if needed, it would do exactly as expected, reclaim, lift off, relocate, as always.
Calamities were mortal problems.
Do you think that Cloud still would have been with Tifa if Aerith had actually survived? I've always wondered ever since watching Advent Children that if Aerith didn't die, would he have made the same choice to be with Tifa. I ship Cloud with both Aerith and Tifa and I feel like he likes them both, but I also sometimes feel it's just unclear who he TRULY loves.
Hey anon. He will always choose Tifa.
I think it’s made pretty clear who he truly loves. You’re forgetting that he was under a false persona when Aerith knew him. There is no canon evidence that he had any romantic feelings towards Aerith. We only have canon evidence that he felt romantic feelings for Tifa.
Aerith being alive when he falls into the Lifestream would have still resulted in Tifa needing to help him. She’s the only one who knows him well enough to do it and she’s the only one that he’ll open his heart to. Cloud’s desire to join SOLDIER was based on him wanting to impress Tifa and have her notice him.
Mutlishipping is fine, but you can’t claim both are canon when we have tons of evidence stating that he loved Tifa and none that he loved Aerith. It was not up to player choice, ultimately. That’s part of the entire illusion for the first part of the game. Notice you lose the ability to choose after a while. You can’t choose at all after Real Cloud is back. The HA vs LA Highwind scene is based on your early game choices and based on the affection the girl has towards Cloud, not what Cloud feels towards them.
Cloud tells us a lot in the Lifestream. There is not an alternative Lifestream scene, no matter what your choices are.
There’s also no alternative Northern Crater scene when Sephiroth shows us Nibelheim. If people have ignored Tifa to this point, they’re gonna be pretty shocked by this revelation coming from Cloud.
So no, there is no ambiguity. The Compilation of FFVII has shown through dialogue, novels, quotes, and supplemental canon materials that Cloud loves Tifa and always has. His SOLDIER persona creates confusion, but ultimately he loves Tifa.
So... it’s pretty clear that Cloud TRULY loves Tifa and NEVER loved Aerith romantically.
