Well, I’m sort of swamped these days, but I wonder if any of you out there are interested in the technician behind the blog, beyond me just harassing you all for more submissions and questions and photos and stories and quotes. (But for serious you can submit things here and ask things here!)

So here’s a quick sort of rundown of who I am, while at the same time removing relevant details about who I actually am. To keep up the mystery.

I’m a working stagehand in New York City, electrics mostly, though I also do some programming/board op stuff as well as props from time to time. Mostly I do work in theaters, but I also do some industrial work if it comes my way and have recently started to get into working in TV, though nothing movie/TV show kind of filmed, just heads at desks kind of things. I’m a newly minted IATSE card holder, I went to school for Technical Theater, and I’ve done work on cruise ships as well. I’ve been an intern at a number of places as well as an apprentice for a relatively short while.

Is there anything you want to know/ask/say? I don’t know that I can be much help, beyond some advice and opening the conversation up to the ~8K people who follow this blog, but I’d be willing to try.
