Mahal: You can't- you can't just do that! How did you do that?! Where did you even come from???
Bilbo, absolutely covered in dirt, having just dug from the hobbit afterlife to the dwarf afterlife: :)

one of my favourite ideas about elves and the valar is the different perception of time and the miscommunications that follow
The Valar: Finwë has been slain. We should take a moment to think about what we should do, so we don't make any hasty decisions
The Elves: so it's been multiple months since one of us was killed in the place where we were supposedly safe from harm and the Valar are just not going to do anything about it
The Valar: oh, the Noldor are going to Beleriand. This is a stupid idea, but since we can't stop them we're going to let them do their thing for a bit and then we'll come rescue them
The Elves: it has been literal ages that we've been fighting a hopeless fight. I am the great-great grandchild of the Elves that decided to come here, yet I am still being punished for my ancestors' mistake. Our gods have abandoned us.
The Valar: what do we do with elves that misbehaved during their lifetime? Oh I know, we'll give them time out in mandos, maybe they'll think about their actions. And they also have time to heal!
The Elves: I have been cursed to spend eternity in hell
Yavanna: I want the trees to talk. Manwë: That’s weird as fuck
I read Not The Same Hobbit by withatwistedlyre on ao3 and couldn't stop thinking about ranger Bilbo i had to draw him. I was heavily inspired by Aragorns outfit and hair while designing him and I'm honestly loving how Bilbo looks in the ultra-non-hobbitish clothes. While reading the fic, I started to imagine what Yavanna would look like and decided to give it a go. Her hair is supposed to be a willow tree but leaves are very hard to draw so its not obvious lol. I love the idea of The Valar being absolutely huge so Bilbo here is experiencing a "a giant woman!" moment.
Let me know if you guys would prefer to see more sketches (which are more frequent) or more finished works! It really helps me out with organizing!!
Yavanna Kementári, in my style.
I tried to make her headpiece based off of some Slavic ones, and her dress melts into the grass and flowers.
This is just a quick piece so i can have a clearer idea of how i see her.
