Top 10 books I enjoyed reading in 2022 most. My readings this year have been dominated by Jorge Luis Borges and Marvel comic books. In the first half of the year, I read five Borges works, and I was fascinated by the Borges' creativity and use of intertextuality. I read Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, in two huge tomes, which has become the longest book I've ever read. In the summer, I took a long break from reading classics and Instagram because of some exams I had. Having always been a Marvel Comics fan, I became more interested in reading comics than ever during that time I took break. If I exclude each and every comic book issue I've read, I've read 26 books this year (27 with Les Misérables' second tome); if I include them, I've over 250. A short story collection, #TheBookOfSand is sublime, fascinating and dreamy. Thanks to #Borges's matchless imagination, pithy but powerful style of narration, it doesn't fail to surprise, excite, baffle, and impress, though the themes and motifs of the stories, which are almost wholly metaphysical, metafictional, mythological, surreal and utopic, are not much different than those in #Ficciones and #TheAleph. Totally riveting and surprising three stories, "#ThereAreMoreThings", "#AvelinoArredondo" and "#TheMirrorAndTheMask", are my favourites in this book. ~ Bir kısa öykü koleksiyonu olan #KumKitabı, olağanüstü, büyüleyici ve rüya gibi. I'm reading these two at the same time and greatly enjoying them. Some of you know, I love Marvel and I want to enjoy #TheMarvelBook longer, so I'll be reading it alongside other books simultaneously for a while. Although these two books are of different genres and seem irrelevant to each other, both of them include mutual themes and topics: both touch upon imaginary worlds, parallel universes, doubles, immortality and infinity, though in different ways. My favourite stories among the ones I've read so far in #TheAleph are "The House of Asterion" (I absolutely recommend to those who know the myth of "Theseus and the Minotaur"), and "The Zahir". ~ Bu ikisini aynı anda okuyorum ve büyük keyif alıyorum. Bazılarınız bilir, Marvel'ı severim ve The Marvel Book'un keyfini daha uzun süre çıkarmak istiyorum, o yüzden onu bir süreliğine diğer kitaplarla eş zamanlı olarak okuyacağım.
