Headcanon: Hebe kids can be vengeful and stubborn as hell and are serious about ”please” as the magic word.
Let’s say a Hermes kid does something that pisses of a Hebe kid… Hebe kid’s response?
Cursing the Hermes kid to have the head of a baby and the refusing to change it back. The Hermes kids have to go to Chiron to make the Hebe kid change the Hermes kid back. Chiron asks them to but Hebe kid still refuses.
Eventually they have to ask Mr D for help and Mr D who’s related to Hebe knows exactly what to do: ”Hey [correct name], could you PLEASE change them back now?”.
Then ✨POOF✨ the Hermes kid is back to normal.
I can totally see this being a thing, either intentional or unintentionally since Hebe can rewind someone's age to a younger age at her pleasure, but that's because she's a god,
her demigod children can technically do this but being half-mortal, they're more bound to time and thus harder so perfect rejuvenation is complex and incredibly difficult, so it is unintentional/intentional.
It is a funny idea but man, it can go turn into horror very easily-
Hey Audrey <3, What traits (personality, looks, powers) do you think a child of Thetis would have?
a/n: Hey Alto, nice seeing you again! Back on the Child of Thetis grind again? I dunno if it'll be much different then this ➡ ask [tumblr] [ao3]⬅ but I'll give it a shot! Going to do it nice and short and straight to the point.
Personality Wise:
I'd imagine they are rather insecure about themselves, or specifically, they're insecure about their identity as a demigod of Thetis. Mostly because when people find out they're a demigod of Thetis, all they can think of is Achilles and they're constantly being mistaken as OR being pressured to be like Achilles.
Even Chiron isn't immune to accidentally mistaking the Thetis demigod, and while you can't blame Chiron because he literally did teach Achilles, it doesn't really help with the identity issue.
I'd also imagine the Thetis demigod is also suffers from confidence or struggles with independence.
Taking into account being mistaken as Achilles, I'm sure after what happened to Achilles, Thetis is even more overbearing and overprotective, while still managing to have her presence around the Thetis demigod, even with the whole bit of gods being unable to directly be involved in their children's lives etc etc.
So I'd imagine the Thetis demigod doesn't have a lot of confidence in themselves, identity wise, but also how capable they are of what they can do and what they can't do, afraid to do anything beyond the safety bubble because Thetis's over protectiveness and paranoia. The Independence issue is also a problem because they're expected to be like or follow Achille's fame, so they struggle to be just different from everyone's expectations.
Otherwise, I can see the Thetis demigod being a kind person and one is willing to jump into help others, much like Thetis who had helped Hephaesteus and Dionysus, and Zeus, and wants to put their own mark out there somewhere, much like Achille's own petition to be involved in the Trojan War, seeking fame and glory at the risk of an early death then a peaceful life and fading into obscurity.
POWERS:
I'm not sure if the whole bit where Themis prophesied that the son of Thetis would be more illustrious than his father would still apply, but I'd imagine if the child of Thetis is a boy/son, he would be much more powerful demigod with even more enhance strength and stamina than the average demigod.
In general, I'd imagine the demigod of Thetis may have the ability to shape shift, taking from the bit where prior to Thetis' marriage to Peleus, Thetis metamorphosed into a host of shapes when Peleus ambushed her and held onto her until she agreed to marry him. They could shapeshift with the help of water or just shapeshift in general, mirroring how Thetis' father Nereus shapeshifts.
They definitely can shapeshift into different aquatic creatures, more leaning towards mammal based aquatic creatures (i.e. seals, dolphins, whales) due to being also human, but its not impossible to say that the demigod of Thetis can turn into fishes. Just…harder.
Probably has minor abilities with water where they can manipulate water, breathe underwater, heal under water, and etc, but definitely not anything like a demigod of Poseidon can do; like manipulate most liquids and etc at ease. Basically the demigod of Thetis can manipulate only water and the less water there is in components, the harder it is to control; so no controlling poison, blood, the rivers of the underworld, etc.
Looks:
Unfortunately for looks, I don't have much. The only description that I could find about Thetis is that she is "lovely-haired" so the child of Thetis would have the same kind of hair, beautiful, luscious locks of hair that looks like waves.
Other than that, there's no other qualities the demigod of Thetis may inherit from their mother. So they can look like anything else.
Imagine Apollo (as Lester) and Clio’s demigod end up on like a mission or something together and there’s some tension cause Apollo is a bit stand off-ish and Clio’s demigod dosen’t really understand why. At some point Clio’s demigod grabs Apollo’s hand to lead him somwhere and it triggers Clio’s demigod’s retro-cognition and they see Apollo’s memory of Hyacinthus dying in his arms and then they give Apollo a comforting hug.
I know i wrote this and anticipated angsty scenerio to occur like this, but NOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭
My 8th song is Reggaetón Lento (Remix) by CNCO (ft. Little Mix)
I love the Little Mix squad so, so much and it broke my eternal soul when they disbanded a couple of years ago. I had really hoped for the trio could stick through with making music, but no. I am at least glad we got that one final album... Sorry, anyway, yeah this is just a fun Spanish-English song that is the first of many that shines upon my latin roots and love for Urbano Latino (like Spanish Pop, I think?). I only like this song because of Little Mix's contributions (:.
My 9th song is Kura Kura by Ado
As beautiful as anime is, it also brought me the joy of finding out who Ado is and I can't thank the Spy x Family S2 Op enough for making it this song. I only read the translation lyrics once, but I still am put into a trance and belt out japanese nonsense like I know what I'm saying🫠.
My 10th song is Wings by Little Mix
Call me a bubblegum princess any day of the week as long as this song gets to play. I really don't care if it's cheesy and made for like preteens. (I miss them so much🫶).
My 99th song is Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift
Okay so, as a Swiftie, I wish I could say that I her work has impacted me since the moment I listened to Red or 1989 (those were the albums popular when I was growing up and could hold a memory)... And I also wish I could say that it was reputation album or folklore/evermore albums that drew me in like no other, but to be honest there was nothing that truly began to hit home (for me) until Anti-Hero and Midnights came out. This is the song I can thank Taylor for throwing me over her shoulder and sending me into the abyss of love and devotion like all the other Swifties. (My own personal imposter Syndrome allegations really being fed right now🙃). I feel like Midnights did it for me because it was able to mesh absolutely perfectly the beautiful tragic writing from folklore and evermore while maintaining the thriving and jubilent beats and music from 1989 and reputation. Thank you Anti-Hero for making me love Taylor Swift🫶
I know she was in some heat and only recently has recovered from it but I have absolutely adored Lizzo and her work since Truth Hurts blew up (:. I genuinely think that she works best when she just dives into creating disco songs about empowerment and being an absolute boss bitch💅.
My 13th is California by Chappell Roan
There's something about this perspective on Chappell Roan's travel that cuts deeper in my heart that Pink Pony Club doesn't (except for the bridge). You know a song is absolutely amazing when all I want is for it to be even longer🥹.
My 15th is Americano by Lady Gaga
Honestly this is mainly just a nostalgia pick that has stood the test of time. Lady Gaga has always been it for me, no matter what era I found myself stumbling through. Love a fun song every now and then (:
My 37th is HOT TO GO! (also) by Chappell Roan
This song makes me wish she would have stuck with more of a cheerleader theme/aesthetic (I still LOVE her tho🫶). Also the HOT TO GO! x Mickey (by Toni Basil) is such an amazing mashup :D
