Light sabers, star fleets, Sith Lords, Jedi Knights, and shit, this brew pulsates supernova levels of bubble gum wheat, earthy rye malt, melty butter pecans, toasty coconuts, chocolate and coffee notes so dark Emperor Pilspatin went crazy! Seductive cherry, plums, dark fruity tannins, oak chips, caramelsutra mid palate, bourbon boozyness, and subdued hoppyness in the background. Every possible ingredient and tasting note in the universe an imperial stout has to offer have been compressed in this bottle. Thick black hole dense pour with a thin creamy mocha brown head. Unfathomable complexity, my GHaaaD! This brew obviously DGAF about subtlety and transition. Expect all the characters to hit you in one single Death Star blast permeating every single taste bud in your palate! Viscous and silky texture with just the perfect amount of bite to force choke your sanity and introduce a unique craft beer experience. Completely dimensional - my kind of beer where each aspect stands on its own yet compliments each other. Lingering tones of licorice, dark fudge, vanilla beans, tobacco like smokiness, and faint cinnamon. Doesn't feel like a 13 percenter to be honest till you drown the entire bottle and get hammered. Slightly warm alocohol finish, refreshing, exciting, bittersweet, slightly sticky dry. Absolutely spot on brew from Stone, so why not a perfect rating? I feel the bottle required a bit more cellar aging to develop a deeper and more robust profile. The brew itself is exceptional but I look forward to trying an aged version of this.
