The Promises 

Promise 1 - We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. Promise 2 1 We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. Promise 3 - We will comprehend the word serenity. Promise 4 - We will know peace. Promise 5 - No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. Promise 6 - That feeling of uselessness and self-pity ill disappear. Promise 7 - We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. Promise 8 - Self-seeking will slip away. Promise 9 - Out whole attitude and outlook upon life will change. Promise 10 - Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. Promise 11 - We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. Promise 12 - We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.

Into Action

"On awakening let us think about the twenty four hours ahead. We consider our plans for the day. Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives. Under these conditions we can employ our mental faculties with assurance, for after all God gave us brains to use. Out thought life will be placed on a much higher plan when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives."
