Ya wanna know something? I never would have started my blog if it weren't for my husband @directive14. He pushed me HARD to launch when I was reluctant. He has a background in IT support and web design and was able to get me started when I felt overwhelmed by the technology. That was 5.5 years ago and I don't even have words to properly express my #gratitude for all that #TheCuriousCoconut has brought, including the ability to reach, inspire, and help so many people all around the world with my site and best-selling cookbook. I don't take the"you saved my life" messages I get so frequently lightly. ·· Today we are celebrating 11 years together as a couple. We had a few close calls in there where we weren't sure we'd make it (bankruptcy is tough on your relationship, y'all. So is your mom dying suddenly. Chronic illness, too). I think every couple will have those moments if you're together long enough. But every time we've gone through a rough patch, we worked on ourselves and our relationship to come out stronger on the other side of those tears and arguments. It has not always been easy but it is so worth it. It takes a lot of commitment to keep a relationship working for so long, since we all grow and change, sometimes drastically.
