what is your crack theory about wish hook's baby...
I would give one of my kidneys for this. And maybe her name isn’t “Emma”, but I would love for her to be the daughter of an alternate Snow and Charming.
I’d give my dark soul for it, and we all know how Dark One’s covet their souls.
My head canon is that if the WR was real, or is real now, that at some point there needed to be a Princess Emma there. The EQ’s wish just replaced our Emma with the Wish Emma. It makes sense in my head if I follow what Colin said at the con about how ‘the wish realm has existed as long as wishes have’ and ‘Wish Hook has existed as long as Prime Hook had’ - she’s gotta have a parallel universe person.
Don’t ask me how that works with the timeline because I haven’t figured that out yet haha I’ve only set the foundation of my castle in Crack Land (though wherever alternative Emma is, she’s totally with alternative Liam and they’re being held captive - see, @lenfaz, I can be nice to a Liam every now and then ;p)
@thegladelf omg i know right! i love how perfect these two songs are

Fucking boys that sing…
They are the WORST! Like, how are you supposed to not fall in love.
I’m not exaggerating, his singing literally distracted me from praying. Like there I was, saying my prayers, and then I was like WHAT IS THAT, THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. And I’ve seen him before and heard him sing before, but idk, the songs at mass today were just really highlighting his voice very well.
And like. He sings, which is so hot, but also HE’S A DOCTOR. Which like, SIGN ME UP. And he has curly hair which I just love so much, like I am a sucker for curls. So basically he’s just my perfect man.
I'm sitting here like, "Oh my gosh, who is blessing me with all this Spuffy" and then I was like, "It's probably Lauren". Lo and behold.
Hahaha oh bby, always me. I miss my boos so much.
Who is Killian's mother?
Killian’s mother was a beautiful Selkie, trapped on land when Brennan Jones hid her seal skin.
One day, when Killian was still very young, being the inquisitive little boy that he was, he came across the hidden skin and brought it to his mother. After all it was beautiful too and he was forever bringing her pretty things from the seashore which made her smile, why shouldn’t this too?
His mother, now free, was irresistibly drawn back to her true home in the oceans’ depths. Neither of her sons ever found out exactly what happened to her, but wherever her boys sailed, a seal’s form just under the waves was not far away.

CSBB Author Spotlight: thegladelf

What is your writing process like?
Some days it's smooth as butter. Some days it's like pulling teeth. And if it's the same two days in a row, it's usually the latter. Usually the idea comes to me at a highly inconvenient time and if I'm lucky, it'll stick with me until I can get to a computer. Those are the best days.
My stories almost always start of as one of two things: a character moment or a what if?
What do you think your greatest strength is as a writer?
Getting into the characters head. Crafting the point of view in a way that is unique to each character, right down to the words they use in their thoughts.
What’s a particular trope or kind of story you’ve wanted to try, but haven’t gotten to yet?
I don't usually set out thinking about tropes or what kind of story I have. Oh, I definitely have a weakness for certain tropes, but I've never set out to write a trope. I'm usually in the middle of it before I've recognized what it is.
Who is your favorite OUAT character to write?
Killian Jones. Don't get me wrong, I love, love, love writing from Emma's point of view too, but with Killian I get to use words that would seem slightly off with Emma. I get to be a little ridiculous with his vocabulary and I get a kick out of that (although, his ability to shred my plot in less than a paragraph isn't as much fun).
Favorite Fics:
An Open Heart is an Open Wound (AO3)
I think this represents both the most work I've ever put into one story (the sheer word count still boggles my mind, I don't even know how we got here) and the most complex plot I've ever had to work with. A good deal of the complexity comes from figuring out how to work around the original writing, but this fic is also a perfect example of how changing one tiny detail has repercussions throughout an entire story.
You Stand Next to Me and I’m Home (FFnet)
This one isn't quite finished yet, but Killian's development over the course of this story may end up being one of my favorite things I have ever written.
I Would Fight Your Demons (FFnet)
To date, this has been one of my most researched fics. I probably spent more time researching PTSD and the mental and emotional toll of trauma than I spent writing the actual story. I wanted show Emma and Killian reacting to their time as Dark Ones in ways that fit their character without making light of the very real havoc that PTSD can wreak on a person's life. This is one of the toughest and scariest fics I've ever undertaken, but I think (I hope) I did it justice.
