CG! Finnick & Regressor! Johanna headcanons

Double trouble. Johanna is obviously not known for her good behavior and Finnick isn’t much better. He’s very lenient with her (and sometimes encourages her to make questionable decisions..)

I feel he would be the only person she really trusts with her regression. Because of how close they are + similar age and shared trauma. She knows she can trust him and he knows how to handle her. their bond is built on trust, mutual respect and shared experiences.

She started regressing not after her games but more so after her family got killed by Snow. She hated feeling alone especially in such a big house. She was never open abt it or displayed it publicly but there were small slips through the cracks like throwing a childish fit over small things and having poor impulse control in certain situations.

Finnick, being who he is questioned her about it, not full on outwardly but small nicks here and there till she confided with him, reluctantly, since she finds it embarrassing. He always tries to assure her there’s nothing to be embarrassed about and it’s just her brains way of trying to cope through all the shit she’s been through

ABSOLUTE spoiled brat. Finnick makes her little rope bracelets, gets her soft blankets and plushies that look like animals you’d find in the woods of district 7. He even got her a teether shaped like a little axe once which she thought was ridiculous..but still chews the hell out of it, especially when frustrated.

she has frequent outbursts due to all the negative feelings she has when she is little. when she’s big sure she may repress it better but once she’s regressed it just comes pouring out like a volcano. Finnick has just learned to ride the waves of it, even if it does involve her hitting and screaming at him or her scratching at herself and tugging her hair. He’s patient with her, he knows what she’s been through, he’s been through it himself.

she lowk becomes a reluctant cuddlebug, Finnick can be very touchy feely and highly emotional with those he’s close with. She dislikes it at first because she isn’t used to such gentle affection but she grows to love it! Often cuddled up against his side dozing off :3
