Grian is an alien, he fell into the world by accident when he fell asleep whilst driving his space craft, it was Joe who'd found him, and instantly brought him to X, all the hermits had been wary of the strange creature, who didn't seem to speak their language. It was doc who offered to take care of the 'creature' knowing full well how it feels to be a 'threat' to people he cared about. He taught grian English, as well as many other human languages, impressed by the speed at which he learnt things, Grian told him he was escaping his own world, Where he was marked for execution. Doc comforted him and made sure everything he does is happy and good. He's never loved someone so much as this tiny loud alien.

Maybe Doc can relate to the whole “escaping his home world” thing.

TAT theme: sci-fi

A swung himself back into the room, automatically adjusting to the gravity shift and slamming the hatch behind him.  B’s face was pale and strained as she looked up from her seat on the deck by C’s limp form.  A released his helmet, but kept the rest of the exosuit on, the better to deal with any more incidental emergencies.  

“I’ve bought us another few hours, I think,” he said.  “No response to the beacon, I assume?  How’s C?”

“Nothing yet, and he’s about the same.”  She gently caressed C’s face, avoiding the ugly bruise spreading over his left temple.  “He opened his eyes once, but he wasn’t really responsive.”

A sat down across from her and grimaced.  “We need him.  I need his help if we’re going to figure out how to limp this scrap bucket to within hailing distance of anything.”

“I’ve got a stimulant that might bring him around,” she said, doubt and worry evident in her voice, “but in his condition, it could be dangerous.”

He knew she cared for C, but facts were facts.  “B, is it more or less dangerous than oxygen starvation?”

She gently brushed C’s damp hair off his forehead, then sighed, taking a hypospray out of the jumble of supplies they’d scavenged.

“I’m not sure how he’ll react, since technically this isn’t something we’re supposed to do,” she said, resting the end of the device against C’s neck.  She looked at A.  “Ready?”

He nodded, and she pressed the button.

Amoung us hermits shipping? 🌙

There are two impostors among the hermits, but they don’t even know it, because Grian and Etho love them. It’s only when another spaceship tries to attack theirs that the two reveal their true natures, utterly decimating the enemy. The hermits aren’t scared- after all, the “imposters” are on their side!

Xisumas home dimension is a very sci fi world in the void, hence his constant helmet. No one thought he would end up falling for someone from a fantasy world but dammit if he doesnt have a weakness for a knight in shining armor. Wels thinks its cute when the big tough space guy gets flustered while being carried like a princess.

They say sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, but Xisuma learns, so is sufficiently strong love.

Iskall and Doc bond over their shared cybernetics and the fact that they were added against their will. At least they know how to deal with various things of their shared past. -Frog

Iskall and Doc have both struggled with... well, lots of things. Shame and disgust at their bodies being manipulated without their consent. Fear that it’ll happen again. Not knowing how to operate their new parts. But when Doc comforts Iskall as he shakes, remembering his captors replacing one of his beautiful eyes with cold metal, or Iskall cleans up the jam jar that Doc accidentally crushed to bits with his mechanical arm, their problems seem a lot easier to handle. After all, now they at least have someone who gets it to lend a helping hand.

Scar and cub once both worked in a lab before, mutating and creating monsters for their employers. They never expected this to come back to bite them, but there he is- grian, the result of their research and experimentation- and their employers twisted morals. Grians more then happily to murder and mutilate, and damn near impossible to kill. He doesn't realise or remember cub and scar, and quickly falls for the duo, not understanding why murdering any minor inconvenience or annoying friend is an appropriate love language- even with respawn.

Grian doesn’t know why Cub and Scar are so nervous around him. After all, he’s on their side! Nothing could change that!

Rens dog ears aren't actually real. He DID have them before an accident but had to have them replaced with cybernetics. Most of the server doesn't know because he's a little self conscience, but his boyfriend doc never minds tinkering with both their cybernetics and venting about their problems. Doc even upgraded them to help ren stay in tune while singing!

Ren’s original cybernetics couldn’t swivel like his real ears, which made it hard to hear and emote. Doc fixed them, and he loves how Ren’s ears perk up when he sees his boyfriend.

X is a space explorer, collecting rare aliens with his crew (half his crew are the rare aliens he's collected) they found what looked to be an abandoned ship floating about and decided to explore. He couldn't find any of the crew, it seemed to be abandoned. Then he found a strange bird based alien, X instantly fell for grian and they simply had to take him onto their ship. Unfortunately, X didn't question what had happened to the rest of grians crew until they'd visited a large alien world and X started finding dead aliens and animals on his bed and doorstep. He doesn't have the heart to disapline his newest boyfriend tho...

Grian doesn’t plan on eating his new crew- it would upset Xisuma, of course! But the captain does have to occasionally remind him that someone calling him a derp does not merit death.
