How Gotham Characters Punish the Reader (SFW Version)

Plot: ways the Gotham characters would punish the reader, with SFW meaning not explicitly sexual (can be read as a reaction to insubordinance/(assumed) disrespect or as part of a dom/sub relationship or as a dark romance kinda thing) /also on AO3 without the pictures 😙 Characters: Jerome, Oswald, Theo Warnings: for Oswald him intimidating the reader, for Theo being locked in (not to do with chastity 😂) Word count: 557 ***

Jerome Valeska has experienced tons of punishments, even just counting his childhood, so it's not as if he didn't know what he could do to you. But hitting you? Nah. He can do better, that damn prankster.

He mainly takes things away from you, serving two purposes: one, you pay for what you did, and two: you're less distracted since what he takes away is usually something you like, for example a book or game console.

"Hey, gorgeous, whatch'ya looking for?" "Uhm, my...wait. It was you. You hid it!" He shrugs. "Can't always get what you want." "Give it back?" "After you apologize...maybe." He grins. "You'll see."

Oswald Cobblepot isn't the strictest when it comes to chastizing those he loves but if he feels genuinely disrespected or threatened, especially with witnesses around, his control crumbles.

His eyes narrow until he's squinting at you critically and ordering one of his bodyguards to keep their weapon on you. He won't kill you, but they would. He orders them to keep an eye on you, to shoot should you try to attack, which of course you won't. To them, you're in a dangerous position. To him, you're still a treasured person. He won't let them hurt you.

Oswald grabs you by your shirt. "What were you thinking?!" Like this, he can feel your heartbeat, accelerated due to the stress. He relaxes his fingers but keeps them gripping your clothes, afraid you might walk away. "Never do that again!" Leaning closer, he whispers with no less fervour, "Promise me." You do and he immediately tell his guards to lower their weapons and leave you alone.

"What should I do to help you not repeat that, hm?" There are a thousand ways he could hurt you, but he just strokes your back and focuses on how he can make sure you stay with him.

Theo Galavan is not as strict as one might think. With his enemies, yes, absolutely, more than expected actually. But the people he cares about most should feel safe around him. With emphasis on most. Everyone else can expect to be thrown out, hurt, become despised by the public, or worse.

If he really likes you, he tolerates you, including any typical behavior you might show, similar to how he only lightly chided Tabitha after she almost killed Aubrey James.

Though you could get uninvited from a party or he might officially claim not be in a relationship with you anymore, which can of course be emotionally hurtful.

Time-out or bans from certain places of his could also happen but for rational reasons, not due to pettiness. He can also be consequent by not giving you any more gifts or not letting you give him advice or input on his plans.

If you think this sounds harmless, oh, he can get cold: react unimpressed, ignore you, tell you he doesn't have time for you. So you better behave...at least a bit.

Should you wish it — or deserve it — he'll lock you in one of the rooms of his buildings, preferably close to his rooms but if wanted/needed the dungeons are an option as well.

He also really likes using blindfolds. The actual punishment might not be that bad but the tension is palpable. And his voice reaches deep places of fear and excitement.

Falling Asleep Against Gotham Characters 😴 Part 3

<-part 2 and everything is also on AO3 Plot: How they'd react if you fell asleep (leaning) on them. Softness from all of them 🥰 Characters: Jervis, Jim, Theo (all romantic) Reader: gender-neutral (no pronouns) Warnings: in Jervis' part mention of his mind control (not on you) & him seeing you sleeping as helplessness (not necessarily in a creepy way) Word count:  - 751 ________________

Jervis Tetch sees the fact you fell asleep leaning on him as a sign of trust. He must've suceeded in treating you well, because, oh, look at you, so calm and helpless. What to do, what to do? He supposes you'd like some warmth.

His brown eyes are watching you you closely as you wake up. A costume-y thing is draped over you...it's his jacket? "I fell asleep normally, right?" Not by hallucination. He nods eagerly. "I can say with no hesitancy, it was a natural dormancy."

Jim Gordon would love to relax into it, but with his work, he likely can't. So he makes sure you're in a secure position for the case he has to leave. On the rare occasions he does have time, he likely falls asleep too.

You're in his apartment, finally getting to spend time with him, but you're tired. Why this evening?? Ugh. Jim could probably follow another lead before going to bed, but you're getting sleepier as time passes, while he's sitting more or less straight on the sofa.

"Hey, did you read this article?" he asks, and you accept the newspaper, hiding a yawn behind it. Seeing the mentioned article, you nod, and point out another one you read too. Jim scoots closer. "May I?" "Sure. I'll close my eyes for a second, 'kay?" "Course." You hand him the paper.

Now that his attention is away from you, your mind relaxes: complex thoughts replaced by the paper rustling and Jim's breathing close by. Soon you fall asleep. Jim's almost through and waiting to share his opinion with you when your head falls on his shoulder. At first, he's concerned, but your breath is normal, your heart rate calm.

He inhales strongly as if commenting to himself what the proximity does to him. Then he remembers his current case and sobers up: what if he needs to leave? It's happened before. Jim looks around and inwardly curses the fact he doesn't have pillows on his sofa. Screw it, his suit will have to do. He stabilizes your head and removes it, then folds it so the inside is out, and puts it underneath you.

Then he quickly goes to the bedroom to get a blanket and better support.

No one from the GCPD calls. Jim stays vigilant at your side.

Theo Galavan wants to get up and do the task he meant to do, but looks for someone to bring him his things first. If he absolutely needs to leave, his discipline wins... But he will return: because it feeds his ego and heart to have you there so vulnerable, so trusting of him that you fell asleep. With all this said, in most cases Theo stays. He can catch up on work later.

The lights in his penthouse were dimmed down for dinner, and your eyes are grateful because you're starting to tire. Luckily, Theo next to you is talking with his sister, so you can lean back a little.

As their conversation continues, you start to zone out, recognizing from his chuckle that the mood is still lighthearted. His voice has a calming effect and it's not too loud despite your proximity to him. Theo has multiple enticing qualities like that... He lightly touches your arm, making you sigh softly. You relax more and stop paying attention alltogether, the remnants of his scent and perfume making you breathe steadily. Until you don't think about anything anymore.

Theo, who lowered his voice on purpose, is happy to have his sister speak so normally for once, by now a little more freely since you're relaxing for the moment. "And what did you say?" Tabitha wants to know. "I offered the new terms and told them they have four hours to accept." "Hm," she muses unimpressed, "has been a few hours." He sighs and resists the urge to look at you for comfort this soon. "As soon as they call, we close the deal."

When you lean against him, he smiles softly. "Are you getting tired, my dea—" You don't respond, eyes closed, and you're leaning against him! Theo takes a breath, staying calm. He smiles to himself now, at this wonderful end to his day, and forgets the conversation for a moment, knowing he'll stay seated for a bit and then ask you whether you'd like to stay. Just then, his phone rings and it's the call he needs to take.

The device is on the table, too far away for him to reach without risking startling you. "Tabby, could you...?" She hands him the phone with a knowing look.

You hear Theo talk in a different tone now, closer but less relaxed. He feels you move and lowers his voice more, strokes your arm tenderly to soothe you. He doesn't mind you're leaning on him, so you stay in your position, listening to him negotiate some deal.

"Hey," he murmurs after the call. "Would you like to stay over? Or I can getcha a blanket if you just wanna take a nap?" You crane your head up with tired eyes and he puts his hand against your head for support. "Whatever you want, my dear." Author's note: I wish you a restful next natural dormancy 😂 Writing Jervis' rhymes is hard 🤪 And ahh I wrote for Theo Galavan for the first time! His vocab is sort of average (I think?) but he uses lots of "sh" sounds that can be a bit hard to translate into words. But let me know if you want more of him 😂

so i am currently rewatching Gotham and I genuinely believe it needs to be watched as a comedy because what the fuck do you mean the former mayor of the city comes back from the dead as an immortal assassin that cannot be harmed by blade nor bullet, and Oswald's response is "okay but what about a rocket launcher though."

That entire scene is pure comedy. Oswald's casual little "see you in hell Theo" and the music switch up as Butch emerges from the shadows with (you guessed it), a fuckang rocket launcher that launches rockets.

Meanwhile, this is just another Tuesday in Gotham for Jim and Alfred, who watch the scene unfold like this:
