Kinda irks me when people depict Rocky’s internal voice as that same kind of simplified ungrammatical speech. Cuz no. They have a language just like we do. The only reason they have to speak to Grace like that is bcs the translation isnt perfect, and can only pick out a few key words. And that makes sense, since you don’t know what kinds of articles, prepositions, and those kinds of things the eridian language has, and theyre on a limited time frame, so it wouldn’t make sense to dwell on that when they can understand each other just fine with just the key words

It just bothers me that Rocky is depicted (in fanart; the movie itself had very good reasons for what it did) as like less advanced, less sophisticated, less knowledgeable, and kind of “stupid” when that’s exactly how they view Grace too.
