Captain’s log, stardate 202005.23... 26/365 Part one. Written by Ray Noble with production by Andre Fischer, Natalie Cole’s rendition of “The Very Thought of You” from her “Unforgettable” has been one of my favorites so much that I even bought the CD single. While her father’s version is masterful, there’s something about this version that grabbed my attention. Perhaps it was the arrangement, the production, or the performance? Whatever it is, I can hear this song over and over again.
