There is something so deeply meaningful about the fact that, when Katniss finally begins to break out of her ptsd, drug, and grief induced stupor, and finally starts on her long path to healing, the very first thing she does is sing. Something meaningful in such a way that I have yet to fully unpack. But it's there

In a recent interview JLaw said she would be down to reprise her role as Katniss in The Hunger Games. And I’m so down for that. But a lot of people were confused on how she would do that seeing as MJP2 ended with Katniss with her children and Panem in order.

So here’s my thoughts on what they could do:

The time in between Katniss killing Coin and the epilogue wasn’t explored much via book or movie. So how about that.

They could do new movies on the rebuilding of Panem and merging the districts or what not.

Because let’s be honest, the districts will want revenge against the Capitol. The Capitol will want things to go back to how they were before Katniss. Some districts might not want to merge with others. Some people might still want Katniss dead.

And what about Peeta and Katniss healing with each other? What happened to Gale? The other victors? How is Panem doing?

There’s so much to do within that time period and I feel like Suzanne Collins could give us so much more from the Hunger Games world.

So I read this fanfic a couple of days ago that basically had Effie constantly high so that it would be easier for her to deal with and act happy and enthusiastic about the games. it made a lot of sense to me and it works really well. Haymitch drinks to deal with it and Effie’s just high. It works out.

also how else can she be super happy all the time as the little kids she meets every year die????
