I'm going to admit something

A lot of the time when I write thirteenrose and Yaz is there I have to fight not to make her overly jealous which is why in any yazrose fics I write I'm going to make thirteen if she's aware of them be very jealous

i ship thasmin break-up ok. their relationship felt so incomplete and underwhelming and I feel like mandip and her love and affection for jodie CARRIED it in the earlier seasons and then later when chibnall got a hold on it it became flat and dimensionless

I think for a doctor like thirteen where she’s so emotionally closed off and refuses to open up in these really important ways, any romantic relationship is going to have to have some aspect of antagonism. whoever loves and wants to be with her is gonna have to take a hammer to her protective walls and it has to be messy. we got tiny moments of that but never in a satisfying or narratively important way and then it all kind of just faded like it never happened ? and then we got these moments of shocking vulnerability that just felt genuinely ooc to me :(

i wanted yaz to leave voluntarily in a similar way to how martha did. I wanted her to be like “I know you care about me, but you’re not ready to love me. and I can’t hang around here while you feed me crumbs to try to keep me satisfied, it’s not healthy for me” and I wanted thirteen to give her a very unsatisfactory “yeah” and for yaz to be like *sigh* okay bye
