Best of 2023 Music #1: Dua Lipa “Dance The Night”

On our final entry we get as what Barbie herself calls it a bespoke song with planned choreography in a blowout party.

The best overall entertainment moment of the year comes as we get a Barbie dance montage you would only see in an animated film of hers, only now it’s for real.

The cast getting down showing off the skills and mood that all of Mattel’s iconic property over 65 years can put into a perspective.

Pure fun and pleasing moments for all.

What gives this its gravitas is the ballad by Dua Lipa, as she gets the party mindset with a catchy jam that also keeps the mood despite the dour subtext in the bridge that would ironically play into the plot.

Simply enjoyable in an unexpectedly great moment.

Even montaging well with its counterpart.

But like with MindaRyn this really was a tossup. Only here the pure fun of the scene is what pushes this out in the street as we follow along with Stereotypical Barbie and company dancing the night away.

SUM 22: Dua Lipa keeps the party jumping with no hairs out of place via the best song of 2023. Bespoke songs are grooving.

Cheers to the kid who walked in on me saying my daily affirmation of "this Barbie is having a mental crisis," and then proceeded to look at me with the most pity I've ever seen in someone's eyes.

Finally went and saw Barbie!!!

It was so good!! I loved it. My dad went before me and said he liked it. My mom hasn't yet, so I'm gonna buy it on DVD so we can watch it together. It was beautiful, I laughed, I cried, I had a great time!
