Kai squeezed his eyes shut, forcing out a shaky breath as the rod whistled through the air again. Pain exploded in hues of red and flashes of white behind his eyelids as the metal hit his side, marking a new patch of skin red. 

He grimaced, sucking in a sharp breath when the end of the rod poked at one of the forming bruises across his ribcage, opening his eyes to spit at his captor. A hand gripped his chin before he could, forcing it shut again. “Don’t even think about it.” 

He narrowed his eyes, searching his captors eyes as he managed to balance on one tip toe and bring his other knee up into his captors groin. They let go of his chin, doubling over with a growl and Kai smirked as he tried to regain balance again, swinging from the shackles holding his wrists high above his head.

When they looked at him again, something in their face had shifted. Any semblance of mercy, of remorse and guilt they may have had was long gone now. 

“You little shit. You’re in trouble now.”

Kai could only cry out as the barrage of hits came, metal bouncing off his chest, his sides and ribs and back until every inch of flesh was blossoming shades of blues and blacks and reds. Until he couldn't breathe through the pain, see through the pain. Until all he could hear was himself screaming and the blood rushing through his ears.

Delusion: Fine! So you want me to erase her memories?

Kaz: ...

Inej: Kaz what are you doing!?

Kaz: I want you to kill her

Inej: WHAT!

Jesper: WHAT!

Nina: WHAT!!!!!!

Wylan: WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!!!

Matthias: She's your girlfriend!

Delusion: No! I'm not doing that!

Kaz: You said by erasing her memories everything you wrote about her would be gone! But she'd still be Y/n the character so we'd still be stuck here!

Nina: By killing her we'd go back to our original plot line

Kaz: Exactly!

Wylan: We are not killing my sister!

Nina: Newsflash! She's not even your real sister van eck!

Jesper: Don't call him van eck you son of a bitch!

Matthias: What the hell Nina?!

Inej: We can't kill Y/n!

Kaz: Wh-

Delusion: ENOUGH!!!

*Everyone goes silent as the ground beneath them shakes*

Delusion: Why do you want to kill her Kaz?

Kaz: I know some of my original story line, but I know that some parts of it are messed up But most of the main things I know happened but it's the problem with after! I don't know anything that happens after!

Kaz: I do I know for sure that I've suffered through a lot worse in your fucking fanfictions!

Kaz: Hell! Maybe everything I've done as just been entertainment for you! We're just puppets on a string for you as you make us suffer, over and over again!

Delusion: That's not tru-

Nina: But it is

The Crows: ...

Delusion: I see we have to come to a decision

Delusion: I'm going to ask everyone of you what you will do and you all get to ask me a question just as... Let's say a parting gift

Delusion: Because either way you won't be seeing me again

Matthias: What does that mean?

Delusion: You first Matthias

Matthias: Alive, Y/n stays alive and we find another way

Delusion: Question?

*Matthias whispers something into em ear and Delusion whispers something back making him nod*

Delusion: Nina your turn!

Nina: What happens to me after the ice court heist?

Delusion: You go help grisha, you become a spy, you find your people

Nina: I'm sorry Y/n, but... She dies

Delusion: Wylan next!

Wylan: What happens to my father?

Delusion: He gets imprisoned and so far you haven't seen him again

Wylan: She isn't my sister. Y/n dies

Jesper: Wylan!

Delusion: Jesper you go

Jesper: Y/n stays alive

Delusion: Question?

Jesper: I don't want to know

Delusion: Fair, Kaz?

Kaz: Y/n dies. Who do I... Love, and do they love me back?

Delusion: You get with Inej

*Kaz glances at Inej and smiles softly before quickly returning back to his stoic expression*

Delusion: Inej?

*Inej growls at Kaz* Inej: Y/n stays alive. And what are you planing to do with us next if we stay with you're plot lines

Delusion: ...

Delusion: I don't quite know yet, we'll have to see! All I know is that you have free will Inej, you all do. You've always had in my stories

Y/n: So this is what you wanted to show me!

Y/n: My own family selling me off like a pig!

Matthias: Thank the fuck you're back!
