Yes! I actually have a few:
1. Will’s parents were Muslim.
This has always been a vague headcanon in the back of my mind, but my friend Avery kind of strengthened it and its stuck with me.
Will’s mother was born Muslim in Arrida, but moved to Araluen when she was young. She met and fell in love with a Araluen-born named Daniel who later converted to Islam.
We never figured out her name but if anyone has pretty Arabic names I would love to see what you come up with
2. Seley el'then is Muslim
Seems pretty unsurprising since he’s from Arrida. The culture of the arrida and the budullin aren’t really islamic… but the names are very very familiar.
My dad’s name is Faisal. My uncle’s names are Hassan and Ma’moon and Umar.
3. Will is very intrigued with Islam
Especially when he went to Arrida and saw the religion around him. It was something he never saw before and asked a lot of questions to Selethen and Umar.
And of course I have so many Islam!AUs in the back of my mind. Imagine how beautiful Alyss would look in a hijab. Will would look DASHING in a kurta.
