Tu me confuses
tu me confuses
je sais pas comment je me sens de toi
je sais que je te donnait mon coeur si tu lui demands
mais il se sens comme tu deja me le découpes de mon corps.
tu me confuses
j’ai devant de choisi si je veux être avec toi
avec toi, je sourire; sans toi, je pleut
mais dans tous les cas, je me demande si cela être le vrai bonheur.
tu me confuses
tu me dits tous de beaux mots que je ne te dit pas a toi
si je pouvais repeter les phrase d’amour avec être honnête, cois-en-moi je le dirais
mais je sais maintenant que tu n’est pas le meulier pour moi

essay: personal anecdotes about iceland that carry that general theme that language can create or close divides between groups of people
like "i felt closer to the local culture when i used their language than when i used english, here are some examples"
does that sound reasonable to anyone
cool thoughts about people.
so here's the basic rundown of my past week: i found out on tuesday afternoon that i was the fourth grade teacher at alfred benesch elementary, and also saw my classroom for the first time. ever since then, i've been frantically trying to piece together a classroom--with all its rules, procedures, consequences, bulletin boards, posters, decorations, etc. it's been pretty rough because i have no artistic sense whatsoever.
my best friend jane has been here visiting cleveland for a week and helping me. she came originally to go to cedar point, then stayed for her grandma, then stayed for me. she's very good at arts and crafts. she's also very organized and detail oriented. she makes lists, she files things, she's into little cubbies and compartments and taping things straight.
it's very nice to have around.
and here's my cool thought of the day (if i can be pretentious enough to dub my own thoughts cool): it's really cool how two people can be SO COMPLETELY different and yet get along really well and be so close.
like...jane is very anal and OCD and careful. she thinks things through. she likes sticking to one subject at a time. she LOVES planners and constructing lists. she will take 30 minutes to tape down a poster just to make sure all the edges are perfectly straight, centered, and aligned. she color coordinates, she sketches a rough draft first before committing in pen or sharpie, she LOVES details and organization.
i, on the other hand, am a mess--i'm chaotic and sporadic and spontaneous. i have ADD and can't focus on any one thing at once. i love being unconstrained--my thoughts wild and free, unchained by a single plan or list. i'm unstructured. i don't believe in rough drafts--i want to get things finished, i want to move. i like to think in big plans instead of the meticulous steps to get there. i'm abstract and i love it.
and yet, somehow, we work. she's one of my closest friends and one of the people i trust the most in my life. we click. we share bits and pieces of our hearts with each other, open palmed, and we accept each other and we love each other.
and i think it's super, super cool.
this isn't to say i don't drive her crazy with my chaos and disorder. but at the end of one particularly long day, jane turned to me and mused aloud: "it's kind of good that there's both of us, isn't it? because without me, nothing would be ordered--but without you, nothing would get done."
it's like we need each other.
i just think humans are cool sometimes--how they can adapt, accept, and advance together despite extreme differences.

The connections that are being formed between people from all walks of life because of a common interest in shows is allowing more exposure for the television shows. Far from leaving people to stare mindlessly into a television set, weeping over the death of a favourite character, or the screaming hysterically over a new season premiere, fandoms have allowed television viewing to become a more social and interactive media form, encouraging an active audience.
