sometimes i wish i could believe in god, you know? someone, something to hope for. an omniscient, all-knowing, all saving presence in my life. someone who will help me when i help myself. is that what a parent is supposed to be? or am i hoping on something that doesn't exist?

no one has the answers, but they all pretend they do. i may be 32, but i haven't really figured it out. while many of my life's philosophies and outlooks have adapted over the ages, this remains steadfast. we're not alone in the universe, but there is no deity pushing and pulling the levers of our lives.

we're on our own. the scaffolding from our parents sets us out into the cold, dark world filled with parasites and con artists. we kid ourselves, saying "there's so many good people!" and be that as it may, they're not the ones in charge. we're all just stuck in the same hierarchy that's seemingly always existed, except more trapped than ever. technologies have advanced in such a way that the human trash can reach millions upon millions with a simple click of a button, spreading misinformation and gaslighting society into going against their own best interests.

greed is the folly of man, and the root of most, if not all societal problems on the globe today. greed comes in many forms, but the sociopathic narcissists with the majority of the means have the most damaging effects on us all, creating angry parrots spewing out the same nonsense propaganda.

fuck this world man. i got into teaching to make a difference in this world, but it feels like i'm trying to put out forest fires with a water gun.

the world needs more love. stop and ask yourself if you really are a loving person or if you just do it for show? of course you need to look after you and your own, but at what expense to others? those are are well off are never satisfied because they're running from themselves and afraid of being compared.

FRIENDLY ADVICE:

Make sure that every time you leave it to go to the bathroom you tell someone in your house to watch your pet because the one time you don't your pet will go to your basement and shit on the carpet and afterward you'll find that shit and wanna know who TF was responsible but everyone blames you saying it "your house" and if you didn't wanna watch a pet at all times you "shouldn't have gotten one". And YOU have to clean up the shit on your new carpet because I guess nobody could see my pet obviously going downstairs and nobody could smell the shit smell *flourishing* throughout MY HOUSE and none of my no-good relatives/uninvited guests could give any shits to try to stop her.

To say the news of how bad things are getting in Ireland despite the lockdowns and doing all that we can to keep ourselves and others safe in a an understatement. Like you all I miss my family, I miss my friends, I miss going more than 5K from the house, I miss wandering around shops browsing what’s new... the list goes on. I do find comfort though in staying connected through sending cards and little notes, when things are feeling grim there’s something so uplifting and special about receiving a hand written card in the post.
