Since other pagans are making posts about gods that would be good to worship and/or pray to at this time in history, I wanna add my own reminder:

Thor is a patron of the working class

And also one of the main gods turned too in times when people need some extra strength and protection

-Being weaponized by white supremacists to make the world a worse place.

I honestly hate how much pop culture, especially the influence of the mcu and serial sex pest Neil Gaimen, has infantaized depictions of Thor. Most people just simplify him to be big guy who fights monster, and there's so much more to him that.

He's the protector of humanity. Of all the gods I've worked with he's been one of the ones with the most overwhelming presences, but in a way that's almost comforting, in the same way that seeing someone stand up to your abuser can be comforting. I've worked for him a lot for spiritual warfare/protection, and idk how to describe it, he just always feels both powerful and benevolent than any pop culture depiction has shown him as. I've also called on him several times when opposing fascists and injustice, which is an aspect of him that I feel never gets touched on.

Even just from a narrative perspective people overlook the power behind the idea of a god who loves humanity in a way that isn't soft or vauge or parental, but in the sense of being willing to fight for our rights and inspire others to do the same.
