Dean and Jerry in 'Three Ring Circus'

It's always been a toss up between this one and 'The Stooge' as my favorite movie of theirs. I think this one wins. The sweetness and love between them shines through in this one. And I swear the ending is Dean singing to Jerry and not their characters. A must watch for all Martin and Lewis fans.💕

Republicans Turn Eating Their Own Into A Spectator Sport

It’s another spectacle for the sake of spectacle, and we are not even the audience.

Trump hasn't been sworn in and the 119th Congress won't be seated until January. But Republicans are already proving that they can't govern competently.

An almost routine continuing resolution (CR) has been botched with an assist by Elon Putz. Now there could be a government shutdown by Christmas.

With a government shutdown deadline looming tomorrow, Trump blew up the bipartisan deal for a continuing resolution to fund the government through mid-March via an unhinged social media post late Wednesday afternoon. The details of the CR itself barely matter because this isn’t about legislation or compromise or striking a deal. It’s about creating a public spectacle, and nothing made that more clear than Trump’s last-minute demand that Congress raise the debt ceiling before he even takes office. Those are the facts of what happened, but after years of GOP brinksmanship, chronic self-ownage, disarray, and dysfunction, it is hard to credibly muster the same kind of alarm or dismay in the face of these facts. Republicans created this debacle on purpose. They own it. They are the only ones who can stop it. Elected Democrats can’t save Republicans from themselves, aren’t to blame for this folly, and are merely bystanders like the rest of us to performative hijinks that are divorced from the reality of governance. Real people will be hurt or will have to endure another round of living under the threat of harm. It’s a colossal waste of public resources and private emotional energy. It’s another spectacle for the sake of spectacle, and we are not even the audience.

Elon Musk is somehow a citizen of three countries: the US, Canada, and South Africa. Yet this semi-foreigner is allowed to meddle with the US government.

Speaker Mike Johnson is a typical obsequious MAGA weenie. But that didn't stop Trump from siding with Elon against him. Now Johnson's speakership may be in danger.

Throughout this scene which lasts just over three minutes there is "That's Amore" played "circus style" in the background. This is a clear homage to Dean. We don't know whether Dean requested it or it was Jerry wanted, but it's there. This matters. And this scene is full "Martin & Lewis zany style". There are many beautiful scenes in this film, I like it. And Dean doesn't look bored here, he looks like he's (still) having fun. They were actors, I know… but…

I feel like my life is a three ring circus lately - I was adamant I wanted ONE more baby but holy shit…it’s like I totally forgot all about the sleep deprivation. I’m not okay…none of us are really okay. So…since my last post, I’ve given birth to two biological kiddos, one in 2021 and another in 2022. After 10 years of trying, it took a fucking pandemic in order for me to get pregnant. And then…it’s like my body was like “whoooa, we kinda know what we’re doing now…let’s do that again!!” We found out we were pregnant on my now middle child’s first birthday. SURPRISE!!! Sooo…this makes three kids now, two biological, one adopted. Although it is now an oxymoron, I’ll stick to referring to my adopted daughter as “Little” although she is far from it. She’s now nine years old, 5′2 (officially taller than I am), 150 lbs, wearing a women’s size 9.5 shoe and size 12/14 women’s clothing. I’m pretty certain they lied on birth certificate about her birth year. Despite her hormonally shitty attitude, she is a great big sister. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better person to help me with the littles. 

Back to the whole three ring circus. I thought that adding another little nugget to the family would be simple…totally wrong. The third kid totally throws off everything. I guess there is some truth in saying even numbers are better, but you can bet your sweet ass I won’t be having a fourth to even things out.
