Grace is good. Very good. I love Grace. Rocky came home with an alien from a planet no life should exist on and now they do not leave each other where possible. I visit when I can. I watch Grace sleep when Rocky away, Grace watch me sleep too. Our children love him. He is good human. Computer says not all human like Grace. Eridians worry about when communication is made with Earth. But I trust Grace and Grace says humans will be good to us. Am going to a thrum later and will be making advancements towards visiting Earth. Am very excited. Earth is good. Grace is good. Earth is very good for making Grace. Hope we can meet in person soon.

Extended twill ongoing. I am using hand dyed thrums in the Weft and spend time in front of the tv joining ends together and winding on to a bobbin as I go. Reused not wasted.

felted triad: three vessels made from a single piece of felt. They are in a small art prize called WRAP at the East Gippsland Art Gallery. The tallest is 25 cm and they are about 12 cm wide.

Huh – until now never knew such things existed, but they sound absolutely fabulous: thrummed mittens. They hail from Newfoundland, and have bits of roving (unspun wool) inside that's slowly turned into wool fleece for extra insulation as you wear the mittens. Yesterday the high temperature for the day finally cooled down to the low 70′s! in Southern California, that means IT FELT LIKE WINTER! I woke up with a chill in the apartment and a smattering of sprinkles coming from the gray skies outside. This meant, in my sad little Californian heart, I knew it was time for some cozy knitting patterns… but not too cozy, cause it’s gonna be 100 again tomorrow.

More sampling on this very long hand-dyed tencel warp. Weft of tencel yarn and linen/polypropylene yarn.

My initial efforts weaving with the linen thrums that I patiently tied together to form a hank of yarn. All knots included.

Rigid heddle loom, linen yarn
