ThunderFact: Tygus is as tall as Tygra.
Former Thundercats (2011) art director Dan Norton reveals what the creative team had planned for the rest of the short-lived series.
This is must-hear info for all TCats 2011 fans! Personally, I love Bengali as Tygra’s son, and I’ve shipped Lion-O/Kit from the start, so I’m pretty happy about this. But also unhappy that I’ll never get to see it. *Sigh*...
The second season would have been amazing. T_T
Didn't Dan Norton say that Lion-O was 20-22-ish? Where did you hear that he was 17?
Dan Norton confirmed a handful of character ages here: http://crewofomens-blog.tumblr.com/post/8539085553/thanks-for-the-follow-ive-been-a-tcats-fan-forAnd here: https://comments.deviantart.com/4/7737784/3095700442Aaand here: https://comments.deviantart.com/4/7737784/3109799012

Q: What age is Lion-O?Dan: about 17.
Who told you he was in his twenties? lol. :)
Some I wish they should have reintroduced other supporting characters from the Original series; like Willa and the Warrior Maidens, Hachiman, Mumm-Rana the Ever-Good, the Lunataks, Safari Joe, Mandora, Bolkins, and Wizz-Ro, etc, etc. You know?
Hiya! :’D So IIRC, quite a few of those characters were slated for the second and/or third seasons:
The Bolkin were going to appear in the second season for sure.
Hachiman was planned for the second season, but I’m unsure if that was set in stone. (I did get the impression that if he didn’t debut in the second season, he would’ve appeared in a later season, though!)
Mandora might have appeared in the second season, but I got the impression her appearance would’ve depended on whether or not they could fit her in anywhere. Or something.
The Lunataks were going to be the primary villains of the third season. Super bummed we never got to see them. orz
The Conquedor might have been unmasked as Safari Joe, depending. (The Conquedor was always intended to be the 2011 version of Safari Joe regardless.)
There were additional characters confirmed for the second season as well, like Hammerhand and his pirates, but I’m afraid I can’t name all of them off the top of my head… ^^;
Sadly, I haven’t heard anything one way or the other about Mumm-Rana, Wizz-Ra, or the warrior maidens.
I’m unsure about whether or not the warrior maidens would’ve ever appeared in the 2011 series, though. My first thought is that they wouldn’t because of the things the creators wanted to do with humans and Third Earth and so on…but I also have a hard time believing such prominent recurring characters would’ve been left out, too. Ya got me on that one, haha.
I really wish this series hadn’t been cancelled. It would have been freaking incredible. ;-;

ThunderFacts: Dan Norton DeviantArt Edition
Mr. Norton has provided a lot of fun information and answered quite a few fan questions on his deviantArt page over the years (on top of sharing all of that glorious production art!), which makes his gallery a fantastic resource for fans. But evidently not every fan has the time or inclination to obsessively dig through seven-year-old comments on random deviations I guess?...So I’ve organized and linked to some of the hidden gems here for your convenience. :’)
If I missed anything fun, please let me know so I can add it to this post!
EDIT: Fixed character error (somehow mixed up Safari Joe and Ta-She. How? Great question).
