I find TrineBee as a ship very frustrating. I don't dislike it on it's own merits, but instead I find it frustrating for the same reason I find most Elite Trine fanon and fanwork a little frustrating: Thundercracker and Skywarp tend to be used as accessories to Starscream, rather than appreciated as characters of their own. Thus, TrineBee fanworks tend to actually be "StarBee, but also those other two are here or mentioned once"

While I know that early on (and in media where they're given very little screen time), they were more or less just meant to stand next to Starscream and look cool. But most StarBee and TrineBee appears to be heavily based in IDW1, where Skywarp and ThunderCracker have more characterization of their own independent of Starscream (especially TC)

TL;DR TrineBee frustrates me because I love Thundercracker and Skywarp and think they deserve more than just being Starscream's wingmecha

Confession 1:

One of the best things IDW has done is giving Thundercracker proper characterization and individuality away from Starscream.

Confession 2:

Starscream or his die hard fans often make other characters related to him in some way mere accessories to him instead of their own characters is frustrating. Sky/Jetfire is a cool character without him. Hashtag is a nice character without him. I love you, Starscream, but get some therapy with a background character instead of named one.
