A sudden hush fell over the set. The spotlights all converged on Stanley. The other contestants turned their heads in sync to stare directly at him. Even the audience stilled, all those grinning faces now perfectly fixed, waiting for Stan’s answer.

Oh, i’m surprised you asked. I just found some fanfic recs last week and read TIBIBIBAP.

I loved all the rules and systems in the dreamscape, the mindscape, possessions (I liked the descriptions of a demon wearing a physical body and being weird about it). I had to reach for a dictionary so many times, and learn a lot of words (like isomerization or eigengrau, It doesn’t seem like I will be using those soon lmao)

But most importantly, I thought about the importance of being honest with yourself. the book of bill is quite an example of this demon trying to play it cool and denying that thing we all know : he is lonely, pathetic, and probably in love with ford. But you can’t love anyone if you can’t open up, be vulnerable. Very common trait in narcissistic and abusive relationships btw. He fumbled.

TIBAP explores and forces bill to face his relationship with Ford, and take the chance (It really forces him to). I even was rooting for him at some point wtf I experienced the hurt, and also the feelings of the characters. And jan was a great addition, she is very fun, and god knows Ford needs a friend (and a doctor) to check on him.

Reading Then it Becomes, it Becomes, it Becomes a Problem has been the most gut-wrenching experience. @tempusedax-rerum is an insanely talented author with such a beautiful way of expressing ideas of love and understanding. I cannot recommend this fanfic enough. I can’t believe I’m done reading it, I wish it would never end, but alas… good things and such.

I love this story.

I started reading tibap after it was recommended on one of Stump’s streams. I said I was going to binge-read it and they politely bullied me into taking my time. Because of that, I limited my reading to a chapter a day and time in between each chapter to process what I read and the emotions I felt. I had the wonderful opportunity to write out all my thoughts and reactions and share them with the author.

I began reading in August and I finally finished right as November has hit. This story has followed me through a rough transition into college and helped me during every step of the way. The ideas of love that are expressed through the characters helped remind me what I’m working towards, and my main goal in life. Tibap is a testament to the fact that everyone deserves love, and I find that to be so beautiful. Love is such an incredible concept and one that I was able to experience vicariously through the amazing storytelling.

I’ve learned so much about myself as I’ve read and wrote about this story. I’ve also learned so much about the beauty of collaborative art. I’ve gained so much appreciation for authors and creators and the heart that they put into their work. I’ve seen the way that the author puts pieces of themselves into their writing, and I am in constant awe of their courage and vulnerability to do so for an audience of the unknown.

This story has inspired me to create art, research psychological and philosophical topics, and even branch out into writing fiction myself. I am forever thankful for how this story has helped me grow and experience new things. It’s proven to me that there is so much talent in the world if you just know where to look.

I’ve never had such an emotional connection to a piece of fiction before, and I will always be grateful for the comfort it has brought me during one of the most isolating times in my life.

i havent read again without end yet but i had a dream last night that i did. it was surprisingly gary-centric and he had superpowers and shit so. looking forward to that.
