So I’ve been toying with a kinda Tim/Kon au and just kinda needed to draw them.
So like idk exactly how it’ll play out but basically Tim is a punk rock musician when he’s not being the face of a billion dollar company or Robin. Connor lives off of the bets from an underground boxing club (with the assistance of blue Kryptonite) while not being Superboy. Clark still hasn’t accepted him and he hasn’t been with Lex in months and is essentially homeless kinda living in the attic of the bar that host the fight clubs. While listening to his current favorite musician not knowing it’s his teammate.
Idk I’ll probably play with this idea more- I can just hear Tim singing “Sleepwalk” by Forrest Day. I’m sure the story would turn into them having to work together for whatever reason and eventually getting all the cute slow burn relationship stuff out of the way. Or you know maybe not even a ship thing and could just be a fun little story. Idk the movie Dinner in America really inspired me for this (not that is really has anything to do with the actual au but whatever)
So I’m trying to pull myself out of my art/ writing slump and decided to work on my DC au version of Red Robin; adjusting his colors and thinking about him as a character. I might do a fic with him when I start up part three of my Jason Todd fic. Been thinking about it a lot lately as I read the Red Robin run.
I’ve updated some looks! Specifically Superboy Kon and Tim in his Robin look!
Side note- for a while I’ve been wanting to write short stories with each of the Robins in different genres, I think for Tim (more specifically Tim and YJ), going on a sort of analog/ web horror like mini series that’s more like horror while also being a mystery. I don’t know, I have a lot of AU’s and plans made for the DC universe that I want to expand on and explain better but life and stuff gets in the way. Anyhow, here’s some art and I hope you all enjoy!
Some Tim Drake redesign/ concept sketches. That’s all, mostly just him being a weirdo
Updated my Tim Drake/ Red Robin design. My idea of him is he is the shortest person in the family (other than Damien and Cass). He also has this sickly look all the time, partly due to his lack of sleep but also the fact that he was a very sickly child, this also caused him to look much younger than his actual age. Despite being 17-18 ish he has the looks of a 16 year old for a while. His Red Robin suit is obviously based on a Plauge Doctor. An idea not shown here is the rectangle eye pieces can rotate when he focuses on something specific. In my version he is much more quiet as Red Robin in unfamiliar or uncomfortable situations (mostly social ones) and fidgets a lot, turning his head to the side like a bird, walking in a crouch comfortably etc, which has a tendency to freak others out. He also has his parents ashes in the necklaces he wears in his civilian cloths, mostly because it’s very popular where I’m from and I like the idea. He is also trans because I love the head cannon
