It's more a courtesy than a rule that they don't take advantage of anyone that's been unfortunate enough to be downed with a truth serum. Unfortunately, accidents happen.
More unfortunate still - Jason does it to himself. It's the most blatant show of self-sabotage he's ever witnessed or experienced; a feat, considering Jason has gotten himself killed (and set himself up to die the exact same way when he got a second chance, to boot).
There's no one to be mad at except for himself, but Jason can't even be that because he's too busy being mortified at himself and the truth he owns up to.
It's a joke (he thinks?) between them that Tim and Kon want to fuck him. It's some stupid way that they tease each other. That Jason thought about it isn't something anyone needed to know though.
But they're all working in the Cave as they wait for the truth serum to wear off. And it's quiet, boring, so when Tim gets a text of course Jason asks who it is. And when he finds out it's Kon, obviously Jason asks what he's up to.
It doesn't matter if Tim and Kon were actually texting about it or if Tim says it strictly out of habit, but Tim says, 'Kon was checking in to see if you'd let us fuck you yet,' and Jason somehow interprets the statement as a question.
The words leave his mouth unbidden and all Jason can do is stare into the middle distance, straight faced and utterly dissociated because Jason, in no uncertain terms, says as blase as anything, 'Yeah, I'd probably let you fuck me.'
And Batman's no meta rules be damned, Kon is there as if beckoned, smile wide and hand propped just behind Tim on Tim's chair, the picture of casual when he says, 'Hey, hi. What're we doing?'
All the while, Tim stares, wide-eyed and in awe because 'What?'
At which point Dick also intervenes, because 'What? 🙂'
Embarrassed as Jason is, he does his best to brush it off. The pink dusting his cheeks gives him away, but he glowers to try and offset it. Intimidating as he tries to look, even Jason knows he only looks sulky at best. Still, he double downs and says it again, 'I'd probably let Tim fuck me.'
Kon clapping Tim's shoulder and swaying them side-to-side, victorious because, 'We're so in.'
Which leads to a playful scuffle between Kon and Jason because Jason tells Kon that he's not going anywhere because Jason said Tim, only for Tim to get offended because why not Kon?
Which leads to a second unfortunate accident: 'Because he's not Robin.'
Jason doesn't hang around to see the aftermath of the mortifying truth. He slips right out of his chair to take cover beneath the table, hood pulled over his head and drawstrings pulled tight to allow more give to strangle himself fuuuuuuu-
Meanwhile, the peanut gallery: 🤯😳🫢
And then Tim peers under the table, 'Yeah, we can do that.'
Even Kon crouches down just to bump his fist to Jason's, 'Respect.' Because he gets it. ;)
It's all too much for Jason's maiden heart to bear, so he groans and tells the both of them to shut up while he crawls blindly out from beneath the table so that he can run and hide in the manor and maybe tell Bruce that Tim snuck his boyfriend past city limits.
Only to bump into Dick's leg. Who Jason somehow forgot was there at all. He drops his head to the ground, overheated from the levels of mortification he's experienced in less than five minutes.
Through Tim and Kon's laughter behind him, their jokes about missed opportunities, Jason notes that Dick is suspiciously quiet.
So, like the fool he is, Jason looks up to see Dick's expression.
He's scowling.
Jason groans to himself and drops his head back to the floor. Curled small in a ball at Dick's feet because why's he scowling? He's mad that Jason would defile the good Robin name (again)?
But Dick nudges him with his foot, both gentle and not, prompting Jason to sit up and glare at him, ready for a fight.
'I'm Robin.' Words Dick never thought he'd say again, but here he is. Offended. Petulant. Jealous. Because if Jason wanted to be fucked by a Robin, why not Dick? 'You wouldn't want me to fuck you?'
Which leads to the most unfortunate accident of the night. The damn truth serum must react more to things Jason feels strongly about, because he's embarrassingly enthusiastic, emphatic when he proclaims, 'Of course I want you to fuck me.' And more embarrassingly still, 'You're the only guy I ever want to fuck me. You could bend me over and fuck me wherever you damn well please and I'd say thank you.'
The force with which Jason slaps his hand over his mouth would be painful if he weren't currently in another plane of existence and not present to register it.
Dick being in a similar predicament, awestruck because Jason is that down bad. Overwhelmed, mind racing because like - Dick being the only one Jason's ever wanted?? Sexually, Dick's down. Romantically, he needs to buy a ring.
Even Tim and Kon are dumbstruck, watching with wide eyes at this sudden development. If only because Kon is a good friend, he shuffles over to Jason and bumps their fists again, all camaraderie when he claps Jason's shoulder, says 'Nice,' and backs off with hands raised in placation because Dick's been given the green light for less than a minute and he's already territorial af.

Series: Part 8 of Kryptonian's Float When Giddy
Summary:
It started when Kon came home one day and found Tim curled up in a ball on their bed crying and after Kon had gotten him to calm down and to talk he found out that Jason had confessed his feelings for Tim and Tim felt terrible about the whole thing.
"I love you, you know that, I would never risk this." Tim told him and Kon did know that and he also knew that Tim and Jason had gotten very close these past years and even further back than that Tim had told Kon once that he had crushed on the second Robin. Those feelings must still be lingering.
Kon knew he couldn't be everything to to Tim, that wasn't practical, so he suggested maybe they could make an arrangement. Tim was shocked to hear it but Kon was always more emotionally competent than him. They just had to find Jason and see if he'd be interesting in sharing, who doesn't love a good poly pile, right?

Tim Drake-Wayne was many things. Wore many masks, literal and figurative. People only made the mistake of underestimating him once, if they were smart.
This is a character study as much as it is what I wish would happen (batfam goes to therapy)

[sequel to this]
In the morning, Tim still doesn’t talk to them. He didn’t sleep a wink, staying up until the sun came up organizing his cases and sending them all to Steph and Cass to work on seeing as he would be benched for the next two days because of his arm. He’d still be able to spill himself into anything that could be done from the comfort of his couch, but any actual ass-kicking as to be dished out by the others.
Conner calls by nine, Jason not until noon, but Tim ignores both call and finds it only slightly irritating when his phone pings with voicemails from them both. He deletes them without listening to either and eats breakfast in silence while reading the paper.
Texts start to come in almost as soon as he’s finished his second cup of coffee, but he’s not quite ready to take those on so he turns his phone to silent and goes to take a shower.
When he gets out, most of the them are worried. It’s all Kon and Jason asking how he is, apologizing, saying they didn’t mean to fight like they did, with a few texts from Dick and Cassie thrown in sounding confused as they attempt to play some form of middle man between them all. He sighs heavily, only feeling a little guilty, and texts them all back:
I’m fine. Tired. Going to take a nap.
He doesn’t. He drinks more coffee and works on some cold cases, throwing little bits and pieces at Babs to bounce ideas off of when he thinks he’s found something. The morning turns into the afternoon which turns into evening and by six Tim realizes he’s shivering from how much caffeine is pumping through his body right now, having only been drinking pot after pot of coffee instead of taking pause or putting any form of food inside of his body. He forgot how bad he was at that.
Usually, Jason or Kon were around to keep him in check. They’d take the mug out of his hands and replace it with water or a sandwich. They’d make sure he actually did nap instead of sit stiff in one position for hours on end until he fears his eyes might never close with how dry they are now.
His stomach growls. His body aches. He’s cold.
Tim turns, looks around his empty apartment, and thinks. Wonders, exactly, how he’d managed this before.
He tries not to dwell on it, closing his laptop for a bit and goes to take another shower, having forgotten he’d already done so.
If he sleep two hours that night, he’s surprised. He only eats when he can feel just how his limb shake and tremble, though he only picks at the pasta leftover in the fridge-- a meal from four nights ago that Jason had made.
He goes another day without talking to anyone in depth, particularly either of his boyfriends, which he knows if a stupid move. They worry, but at the same time both of them know he was pissed, so neither is about to make the first move until Tim does or they’re given some sort of sign of he’s cooled off.
Tim still doesn’t sleep and this time when he wakes up and tries to go into the office to feel a little more useful and productive, his secretary glares at him and sends him right back home, threatening first to call Bruce about how bad he looks. There, having stared at his keys for nearly four minutes trying to remember which one was the one that actually opened his door, Tim decided enough was enough.
Okay. Is the only thing he sends out and within the hour both of his boys are there, with him, and Jason’s cooking him food while Kon’s carding his fingers through Tim’s hair his head resting in the clone’s lap, dozing in and out of sleep.
“You love me, right?” Tim says out of nowhere, voice soft and muffled from exhaustion.
“Of course we do,” Kon says and Tim thinks it actually might be the first time he remembers either of them putting ‘we’ in that answer. It makes Tim feel a little better, makes his eyes heavy, as he hums and finally lets sleep take him.
He’s woken up just a half hour later, instructed by Jason that he needs to eat, and does just that for about half the meal before Tim’s stomach protests and he has to push it all away.
Jason carries him to bed, Kon tucks him in, and Tim likes the feeling. Likes the bodies close to him, likes the warmth, likes that he can use either of them as a pillow when his gets stolen in the middle of the night. Between them, he feels cared for and safe. He feels whole and like he actually belongs somewhere.
In the morning, they’ll have a talk. About Jason and Kon getting along better and about Tim taking care of himself more, but for now this is good. This is right.
He knew dating them both would be difficult-- going into it, he did his best to explain things, set ground rules, tell them that he would prefer to not just be dating two separate people, but actually date them, together. Sometimes, things worked out. And sometimes, things didn’t.
Tonight was one of those latter times.
“You dropped him and dislocated his shoulder!”
“Oh, and your track record is just so squeaky clean!”
Tim sighed, rubbing his temple. His apartment was supposed to be the ‘no-man’s land’ of sorts. Any time they were there, any form of bickering was halted and a truce was called. Or at least, that’s what Tim had settled on.
“That’s a low fucking blow and you know it!”
“And what happened today was a damned accident!”
They’d been going back and forth now for over an hour, since Jason had arrived having heard the news of Tim’s injury during the latest Titan’s mission-- and it was an accident. Conner miscalculated, got hit by a blast while carrying Tim, and had to grab him before he hit the ground, leading to a dislocated shoulder by the force of it all. Tim was fine. No permanent damage, just some tenderness and stiff mobility for a while. He’d had worse. Jason was blowing it out of proportion, but Kon was also taking the bait.
“You’re fucking careless and gonna get him seriously hurt one day!”
“That’s rich coming from the guy who--”
Tim about had enough.
“Honestly, just stop it.”
They both finally shut up, heads snapping to Tim who was sitting on the couch, arm in a sling and an ice pack tied up around his shoulder. He glared at them both, eyes looking tired.
“You’re both idiots and you’re both too loud. I want you two to leave. Now.”
Conner opened his mouth to argue, but Tim wasn’t having it, raising his good arm to point at the door.
“That’s not a question or an option. Out. I’m sleeping by myself tonight.”
Both looked defeated, shoulders slumped and faces fallen. Tim didn’t sleep well alone. None of them really did, technically, but Tim was the worst. Where Jason and Kon tried, Tim gave up almost immediately and would decided productivity was better off than futile attempts. It wasn’t a good sign.
“But, babe--”
Tim’s eye twitched. “Jason. I swear to god, I am not in the mood. Settle your shit somewhere else.”
It was the final push and neither of them decided to fight it. Tim watched them both slowly go out the door and only got up when it closed to lock it behind them, just to make the statement that much clearer.
Anon was asking about this fic and I can’t remember if I ever actually showed any of this around? Anyway, this is a preview (cough it’s 3.5k it’s like the first not-chapter chapter) of the sequel to Uninvited, an Omegaverse Tim/Kon/Jason fic that is going to be way too fucking long. It’s obviously O-verse so if you don’t like what that entitles be cautious. Slightly not safe for work and takes place right after the first one!
Enjoy!
---
When Tim wakes up, he’s alone.
It’s not unusual. Normally after heats he’s alone, but this is different. His sheets have been washed, his bed put back together. His knot toy is nowhere in sight and when he looks for it, he finds it in his bedside drawer looking clean and unused. For a second, he thinks the heat might have all been a dream, but it couldn’t have been. He gets disassociated from his body sometimes, but not to that point.
The smells stall. It actually makes Tim’s nose curl and his stomach turn as the only smells in the room belong to air fresheners, cleaning supplies, and himself, though even his own scent is diminished. Normally at the end of his heats, the first day the fever breaks and the aches die down enough that he comes back to himself, Tim still smells overly sweet. Now, he doesn’t smell much of anything besides that of an Omega needing a shower.
His body is also surprisingly clean in a way that makes Tim suspicious—in a manner that gets his heart racing. There’s no slick dried to his thighs, no cum on his stomach. There’s no mess at all for him to clean up and only smells of the usual collection of body odor when having not showered for a while. It leaves him feeling unclean anyway, knowing right now that someone must have touched him when he was in heat to get him cleaned before he’d woken up.
He’s still in the manor, he knows that. His surroundings haven’t changed at all and when he looks outside he still sees the tree line along the house. He takes in a deep breath and can smells the small lingering collection of his family—Bruce as the common layer, Alfred filling in the spaces, Dick and Damian scattered about, more subtle, but still there. Even Jason—
Tim sways on his feet for a moment, having to hold the wall so he doesn’t fall. His stomach rolls and Tim knows for a fact that it’s going to take a while for him to get used to his body being stable again. Alfred’s going to have to hold off on the ‘after heat feast’ as Tim’s sure he’ll be throwing up the next two meals at least.
The shower calms him down a little bit. He thinks it all through and knows when he cleans up and gets dressed, someone will be able to give him answers when he goes downstairs. It’s strange. Tim can’t remember much from his heat where usually his memory is spotty, but it doesn’t disappear all together. He thinks he remembers someone there with him, but it’s also very likely a dream; a simple want from heat haze making him think there was an Alpha for him when there wasn’t.
Tim stands under the spray for a long while. He turns the water cold at first, loving the shuddering chill that covers his body, makes him feel something other than the lingering heat of his skin for days. When he really starts to shiver, Tim turns it warmer, sighing heavily as he feels his muscles relax. His stomach settles for the time being, long enough at least for him to wash up and scrub down his hair and finish in the shower. Brushing his teeth proves to be something of a challenge as the usual mint toothpaste he uses brings his nausea back up again, but he gets through it and gargles with water until he can’t taste it anymore. He’s tired, he doesn’t check the mirror.
When he walks out from his room, the manor is silent. Silent in a way it usually never is. The halls creak more when he walks down them; the chiming of the grandfather clock sounds too loud echoing around the walls. The house seems completely dead instead of the comfortable quiet that it usually has in the air. Tim’s worried, but refuses to panic as he gets to the dining room and through there the kitchen.
He grows calmer when he finds Alfred at the sink washing carrots and potatoes. He smiles when the butler looks up at him, though the look he gets back is a little more tight-lipped then what he’s expecting.
“I was wondering when you’d be up, Master Timothy. Feeling better?”
Tim settles in on a bar stool at the counter, taking in a few deep breaths, letting his nose and lungs fill with the comforting scent of the Beta, familiar and safe.
“Yes, though my stomach’s still a bit queasy.”
Alfred nods at this, but doesn’t stop his washing up vegetables or the preparation that follows, skinning them both and cutting them up. By the looks of it, he’d making some sort of stew or soup. Tim’s stomach growls and his mouth waters a bit, but at the same time the sight of food utterly disgusts him. He makes a mental note to just ask for more broth when dinner comes around, at least for the time being.
“Alfred,” Tim starts after a moment, licking his lips and taking pause, attempting one more time to piece together the bits of information he has, but coming up blank still with loose ends to strings that just don’t connect anymore. His brow comes together as his stomach once more rolls. “Did…did something happen when I was in heat?”
The sound of Alfred’s chopping comes to a halt. His eyes keep down cast at the cutting board for longer than Tim cares to think about before he’s sighing heavily and looking up, his eyes appearing to be unsettled.
“Yes,” He replies, straight to the point, though his tone of voice is tight. He doesn’t want to tell Tim whatever he’s about to tell him, that or someone told him not to. “We had…unexpected visitors.”
Tim’s stomach falls out from underneath him. His entire face falls and before Alfred’s able to say anything else, Tim runs over to the trash can and vomits up the small contents within his stomach which currently consists mostly of stomach acid and water.
Alfred lets him go until Tim’s body goes slack, until he can’t throw up anything more, and the butler hands him a glass of water. Tim sips at it slowly, getting to his feet shakily. He’s pale and when Alfred grabs his shoulders to help guide him back to his seat, Tim realizes he’s shaking.
Tim’s gripping the glass of water a little too tightly. Alfred doesn’t wince, but he looks like he might want to.
“Who was it that came over Alfred?”
---
As soon as he found out, as soon as he realized what was happening, Alfred made the call.
“Sir,” he says into the communicator. “We have a problem.”
Not fifteen minutes later, Bruce is home. He doesn’t even have the proper mindset to change from his uniform, simply stalks upstairs, pulling the cowl from his head when he gets to the top of the steps and smells what’s happening. He sees red and tries not to, tries to fight back the instincts ingrained into his DNA, but still there’s a part of him that knows they’re right, they’re necessary, because the closer he gets to Tim’s room, the more he wants to hit a wall.
It’s not unusual for family Alphas to be protective over family Omegas. It’s simple pack dynamic, though usually in everyday life the fact that Tim’s the only Omega in the family doesn’t much bother anyone. Bruce, though there’s always the nagging tug to protect his adopted son, treats Tim just as he does his other children and shows him little to no special treatment that might link back to his primary gender. But he is fully aware of Tim’s choices. He knows Tim has never taken a mate, has yet to say differently, and knows he comes to the manor to feel safe during his heats as to not worry about accidentally attracting a stray Alpha as everyone in the house was family.
And then there was Jason.
Jason was family, but he was still a stray. He didn’t flow properly with the rest of the dynamics; he didn’t fit in properly. He never stayed around long enough in the manner for his scent to stick, he was Bruce’s son, though there was still a struggle with him. The mending process of what happened in the past was still going on, but Bruce had never thought to see Jason as a true threat to Tim once he had come back and settled into a better state of mind.
But it wasn’t just Jason. No, the scents weren’t just of an Alpha and an Omega. There was something more foreign in the air, a scent that was slightly familiar, but had more of a bite to it, something that smelled almost chemical. It made Bruce’s nose scrunch and a growl leave his throat, because he knew that scent too. He knew that other Alpha.
When he got to Tim’s room, throwing open the door, he wasn’t shocked to find what he did, it merely made the anger inside his stomach boil up further. His first thought was to rip them both apart, but his second was simply to get them away from Tim.
Tim looked half unconscious and used. His body was sticky, covered in sweat and other fluids, and his eyes were glazed over. He moaned obscenely when Jason’s hips moved, when he pressed up further inside of him, and his back arched when the meta gripped a hand around Tim’s small cock, stroking him lightly and biting at his shoulder.
The Omega looked a mess. He looked fucked out, blissful, throat covered in bites and hickeys of varying degrees, though no full bond bite was anywhere Bruce could see and, for now, he couldn’t smell the flickering changes of mates in the air. For now, Tim was still without a mate, even if he currently had Jason’s knot grinding into his ass.
They notice him after just a second or two. Kon turns his head and bares his teeth at Bruce, growls as a challenge to the older, threatening, Alpha. Kon’s high on the heat pheromones or he wouldn’t be challenging Bruce as he was. He’s about to accept the challenge and leap at Kon, but then Jason’s looking at him, a smile on his lips, smug as he purposefully kisses Tim’s neck, making the Omega whine before he’s swiveling his hips again and Tim’s shuttering in his lap.
Bruce could rip Jason away from him, disconnect them by force, but that would hurt Tim more than anything which was something Bruce wasn’t willing to do at the moment. So instead he growled low, glared at them both, and left just as quickly as he came with Batman’s cape fluttering behind him like a shadow.
He wasn’t gone for long.
Only to the point he figured Jason’s knot would have deflated as he grabbed up the rock of kryptonite from the Cave and proceeded back to Tim’s room. It was much easier this time around to show his dominance.
It was easier to get Kon out with the kryptonite, but still he struggled. As soon as Bruce got close enough, Kon paled, looked sick, but still he tried his best to break away when the older Alpha grabbed him by the back of his neck and dragged him out. He could hear Tim whining at the absence of the meta, figured he’d try to stop Bruce if it wasn’t for Jason still holding his attention.
He hated leaving Tim with Jason, but he had to get rid of Conner first—he could deal with Jason when the clone was gone.
Bruce dragged Kon outside practically kicking and screaming, tossing him down onto the ground, throwing his clothes after him. The fresh air helped the meta clear his head, uninfluenced by the thick cloud of pheromones that filled Tim’s room. He waited a moment for Kon to take in a few deep breathes, the dark lust breaking from his gaze, before Bruce grabbed at him once more and punched him square in the jaw.
It did the trick, snapping Kon out of the heat haze for the most part. It didn’t hurt him much, though right now Bruce wish it did.
He blinked up at Bruce still wearing his batman uniform, cowl drawn back, darkness of the night surrounding him. He stood tall, menacing, strong, Alpha.
“If I see you here again you will regret it.” Bruce said, finally slid the kryptonite back into his belt, relieving Kon of his weakness. “And stay away from my son.”
Kon didn’t try to protest. He was smart enough for that, simply letting Bruce stalk back inside and slam the manor door behind him.
When he got back upstairs, Jason was still going at it. Tim didn’t seem to mind only having one Alpha now, just as long as the other was still keeping his needs at bay. It made Bruce’s stomach twist. He tried to keep his breaths short and quick, trying his hardest to keep the smell of Tim from his nose; keep his own instincts in check.
Tim barely noticed him, but that was reasonable given Jason had him on his stomach, one arm pressed firmly into Tim’s back and the other spreading one of Tim’s ass cheeks wide so he could suck the collection of slick and cum from his body. All Tim did was let out breathy little moans into the pillow at his head.
Bruce grabbed Jason by his neck, pulling him away quickly which only had Tim whining.
The younger Alpha looked up at him, grinning, his mouth and chin wet. “Wanna turn, Brucie?”
Bruce punched him, sending him to the ground.
He didn’t want to get into an all out brawl with Jason, especially one of dominance, and more so even not in front of Tim when he was like this.
“Stand down, Jason.” Bruce didn’t think it would work, but could still hope. At the very least, he could say he tried.
Jason growled from the floor, wiping his mouth to find his hand coming away with a stray bit of blood. His eyes were dark, clouded, and Bruce wondered how long the two had been in here with Tim for Jason too look so undone.
Bruce breathed. “Jason.”
It was easier to take Jason down in his state. It was the only upside to this situation as the young Alpha jumped at him and Bruce easily got him into a hold and dragged him from the room just like he had done Conner.
Tim whined from the bed, lifting his head up, dazed, watching Bruce take away his other Alpha.
“No, no, no, no…” He mumbled, weakly pulling himself up, leaving the safety of the bed, his nest, where the Alpha’s scents still clung, wondering why his mating had been interrupted, wanting them back. “Alpha, Alpha, Alpha.”
He nearly fell trying to follow after Bruce, legs weak and stomach starting to coil in panic, not understanding what had happened, what he’d done wrong. Before he could leave the room however, Bruce turned and snarled at him, pressing as much of his own Alpha influence in the action as he dared, getting Tim to immediately stop in his tracks.
“Bed.” Bruce ground out, feeling his own stomach coil in disgust as he watched Tim cower back. “I’ll be back for you.” He tried to make it sound comforting, softer, but Tim looked anything but comforted. The Omega nodded slowly, head lowered, as he turned to go crawl back into the mess of blankets and pillows that was his bed.
Bruce didn’t dwell on Tim in that moment, not right now at least while he still had Jason struggling against him, fighting his every move, wanting to get back to Tim, assert his dominance over Bruce, but the elder refused to give in to any of Jason’s attempts at a fight or to get away. He brought him down to the cave where Alfred stood, waiting with a syringe in hand. Bruce held him still as best he could, nodding for the butler to go on, press the syringe into the meat of his thigh. It took a second for the medication to kick in—a cocktail mixture of sedative and a high concentration of O-hormones to counteract the massive amounts of Alpha hormones currently pumping through Jason making him stupid with the heat haze.
After only a few more growls and jerking against Bruce’s hands, his body went lax and Jason slumped, not unconscious, but close to it. Bruce checked his vitals, made sure his heartbeat was falling, before leaving him in Alfred’s care.
“Get him dressed and make sure he drinks plenty of water before he leaves. Check his shoulder—he opened up the wound when I tried to get him down here. I don’t want to see him when the sun comes up.”
Alfred nodded, handing over a second syringe to Bruce, watching him leave with it back up stairs before turning his attentions to Jason on the floor.
Tim was a little more difficult. He was laying in his nest, shivering and breathing harshly. Bruce knew in theory he shouldn’t have dragged a chosen Alpha away from an Omega in heat before the heat was coming to an end, but he also didn’t think either Jason or Kon were ‘chosen’ in a manner Tim would want when he came out from his heat. There was a reason the boy came to the manor. Not once since Bruce knew Tim did he ever hear or see him with any form of heat-mate. The closest thing he’d ever seen was when Tim dated Stephanie, and even that was just young, stupid love that fizzled out without anything close to a serious heat session taking place.
He also felt guilty. He knew Tim came to the manor during his heats, when he could, because he felt comfortable there. He felt safe and when he’d heard Tim wasn’t alone in his room, Bruce felt sick, felt like he’d done his son wrong for not being able to protect him during his heat, even in his own home.
Tim peered up at him when Bruce came close to the bed, eyes red and by the way his chest was heaving, Bruce figured he was close to having a panic attack. Tim made eye contact for only a moment before ducking his head down and giving out a low whine, letting Bruce know he was both sorry and not about to disobey him.
The anger Bruce felt before vanished and all he was left with was the sickening taste of bile in his throat, looking at Tim naked, eyes unfocused and black, skin covered in marks of reds and purples.
“Come here,” He said, voice as soft as he could possibly make it as he opened his arms in invitation.
Tim hesitated for a half second, not sure if this was some sort of trick, before crawling out from under the blankets and falling heavily into Bruce arms.
He was still shaking, but as soon as Tim was enveloped in another Alpha’s scent, his breathing started to slow. His fingers touched at Bruce’s arms, trailing to his chest, down, trying to find bare skin to touch and soak up, trying to satisfy his heat, too lost in the instinctual need to realize who’s arms he was actually in.
Tim was Bruce’s son by law, they were all a family, but for Tim he was too old to pick up Bruce’s scent as a parent when he finally came to live at the manor, so all Tim smelt was a familiar Alpha, not true family by blood, but someone he knew he could trust, someone that would take care of him.
When Tim started to squirm in Bruce’s lap, started breathing his scent in deeper, he knew he had to stop him before things progressed to a point Bruce didn’t want to ever get to. He was glad for the thick layers of his suit, happy for the filters cutting through most of Tim’s scent as to make him smell sweet, but not overly so. He leaned forward, holding Tim close, brushed the bangs from Tim’s eyes and let the Omega relax into his touch before finally bringing the syringe to his leg and pressing the plunger in.
The counter heat would take a little while to work fully through Tim’s body, filter through the hormones, but the sedative worked near instantly, a stronger one than what he’d given Jason. Tim’s face only scrunched up in panic for a moment before his eyes grew heavy and his body feel against Bruce, falling into a deep sleep.
Bruce sighed, looking down at the flushed face of his son, of the pinch of stress at his brow, and gently lifted him to rest in his bed, making sure he was comfortable and wouldn’t wake up anytime soon before going back to Alfred, telling him a bath needed to be drawn and all the bedding in Tim’s room needed to be washed.
