✧・゜: ✧little things i'm grateful for this month that make life sweeter ゜✧:・゜✧
hey lovelies! ✧
i've been thinking about gratitude lately but not in that fake instagram way where everyone pretends to have perfect lives. just those small moments that make me smile for no reason. thought i'd share some of my faves from this month in case you need a little joy boost too!
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ morning coffee rituals ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
idk if it's just me but waking up 10 minutes earlier just to drink coffee in peace feels like the biggest act of self-care ever?? i got this mug from my mom that has these tiny stars on it and it literally makes me so happy every morning. sometimes i just sit by my window and watch people walking their dogs while my brain slowly turns on. no phone, no emails, just me existing for a minute.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ this playlist i made at 2am ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
made this playlist called "main character energy" during one of those can't-sleep nights and honestly? it's perfect for everything. got some throwback songs from high school, some current stuff, and these indie tracks that make folding laundry feel cinematic. sent it to my friend and she said it gave her "sad girl summer but make it hopeful" vibes which is exactly what i was going for.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ my messy little reading corner ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
finally set up that reading nook i've been talking about forever! just threw some pillows in the corner of my room, added fairy lights (because of course), and now it's where i escape when everything feels too much. currently reading this book about a girl who can taste emotions in food and it's so good i've been staying up way too late. classic me behavior.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ random park adventures ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
there's this park near my place that i've been walking through almost every evening and i swear i notice something new each time? yesterday i found this tiny hidden garden someone planted with the cutest little gnome. stood there smiling at it like a weirdo for way too long. leaving my phone at home during these walks has been so good for my brain. (i do take my apple watch for safety of course!)
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ actually cooking real meals ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
i finally figured out how to make this pasta dish i've been trying to perfect (only took like 6 failed attempts lol). nothing fancy but there's something so satisfying about making food with your hands that actually turns out good? been trying to cook more instead of just ordering takeout and even my kitchen disasters are becoming funny stories rather than frustrations.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ tiny desk flowers ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
started buying myself these little bunches of flowers from the grocery store (the cheap ones by the checkout) and putting them on my desk. they only last like 4 days but having something pretty to look at while i work makes such a difference? plus it makes me feel like i have my life together even when my laundry's been sitting unfolded for a week.
⋆.ೃ࿔:・ rediscovering old books ・:࿔ೃ.⋆
found this box of books from high school that i completely forgot about and it's been so fun revisiting them! some are honestly embarrassing (my teenage taste was… questionable) but finding my old notes and underlined passages feels like talking to past me. staying up way too late rereading them but no regrets.

I finally got around to framing some of the pieces that I made during my 30 Day Mini Art Challenge. Even though each piece is a different subject they still feel really cohesive together. Also, I really just love seeing my artwork add to a space. ❤️🖼️
I’ve decided to let them wander out into the world. If one catches your eye and you feel drawn to it, it’s available here —> https://houseofstrangebird.etsy.com 😁
