Hello there! I’ve just read your newest comic; the arts amazing as always.
But I’ve got to be honest, T!Ingo and T!Emmet are both feel wrong here. Trying to justify the lying is awful. Yes Ingo might be worried about what Arceus will do. But lying to Emmet will just make him trust him less and hurt him more. Surely T!Ingo must realise how Emmet feels about lying from his own Emmet?
Couldn’t he he have admitted he can’t say anything because he’s worried Emmet will get hurt? Assure him he wants to tell him the truth? Ask him to wait?
I’m sorry if this seems like a criticism, I’m desperately trying not to sound like a brat, sorry if this come as it is :(
First of all: Remember that BW is based on the concept of Yin and Yang. Opposite but interconnected forces. Inside Yin there is Yang and in Yang there is Yin. Each aspect can be seen as their opposite if you look from another point of view, transform or coexist at the same time.
Truth is absolute? Our ideals justify our actions?
T!Emmet here isn't justifying what T!Ingo did. He know what he did isn't…"correct", to be simple ("This world is gray at all" -N). He is just explaining T!Ingo's truth: He did what he did to protect Emmet. To T!Ingo is a good reason, under his ideals is justified. What's important to T!Emmet is that T!Ingo's intentions weren't lying to him or hiding stuff to hurt Emmet or make him forget/drop Ingo's research, just protect him.
Because he is not evil (maybe no one is). He committed a mistake, Emmet did it too. Both fucked up and now have to deal with the consequences.
(Now, if T!Ingo said one of those things, Emmet would either get more mad at Arceus or put T!Ingo under pressure and make the situation worse. God is watching, you know)
