I baked this little rock and roll beastie last night. He had been sitting all weekend untouched and unfinished, as I decided to focusing on some stamp carving while at the gallery, and because I did not build him with an armature underneath the clay, his arms fell off over the weekend. So I patched him up, attached his feet, gave him a belly, some moobs and extended his tail for balance. However, I’m still debating on how to make molds of these suckers. I’m thinking I may need to plug up a few undercuts with some wet clay without baking, so I can clean it away after making the molds, then I may still need to make the molds into 3 parts. I’ll probably use @smoothon products for molding and casting, but I’m thinking to call them later today for a quick consult anyway. I still have some unopened molding rubber and casting resin I bought from them like 15 years ago. I wonder if these chemicals have an expiration date? However, I still want to salvage the original sculptures after the mold making process, so I’m wondering how to best clean off the release agent I’m gonna have to cover these little guys with before I mold them, so I can still paint the original sculptures. #SculptureArt #TinyMonsters #WeirdArt #embracetheweird (at Embrace The Weird) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzqpqjOBLrE/?igshid=12ygwi6jak688
