Titan Theory
You know, one thing that I've never understood is why exactly Annie killed the two Titans that were captured in season 1 of AoT. I'm up to date in the manga, so unless I completely forgot the answer, it's always been an unanswered question. Sure, the obvious answer is that she didn't want the Survey Core to discover more information on titans.
We know that titan shifters reside in the nape of a titan, and the nape is of course their weak spot. So, is it possible that Annie killed them, because she doesn't want the Scouts to discover that MAYBE, a person can be extracted from the nape of a mindless titan?
Ymir remembered her dreadful 60 years as a mindless titan, so is it possible that many answers may be answered via the trapped souls within the mindless titans? Remember that the blonde woman who was turned into a titan just seconds before Ymir suffered the same fate? When she was a titan, she thought that Ilse was Ymir, resulting in the titan showing intelligence. So in a sense, her human form momentarily "woke up" from the mindless titan nightmare. Hoping that by killing poor Ilse(thought to be Ymir) would turn her back into a human.
Who knows, maybe Annie will spill the beans when she fucking finally eventually comes out of her crystalized state.
If this turns out to be the case, then OH MY GOD!
This will make every death after the discovery of titan shifters that much worse.
Imma put out a titan theory.
Titans aren't always ENORMOUS. it's more like a abilities that allows them to take on such a large form when in battle. Kind of the like in AoT!
Bertholdt may live by coincidence and eating him doesn’t mean survey knows how to get Annie out
I’ve been thinking about how can bertholdt survive if the serum is put into armin (we know it’s gonna’ be armin, who are we kidding?) and it dawned on me that titans seem to for the most part ignore dead bodies or inactive ones. while the anime showed them eating dead bodies, I don’t seem to recall this happening in the manga. it seems most often than not, the titans go for what is moving and thrashing around and if bertholdt stays unconscious... this may actually allow him to survive if this theory is correct, having armin attacking the survey corps instead of bertholdt. Perhaps ironically eating erwen instead?
Also on note in regards to annie and how some people have stated if bertholdt is eaten they’d know how to remove annie from teh crystal? I don’t believe this is true as for the memories to be passed on it requires a precise formula regulated to a certain bloodline. that bloodline is neither armin or erwen. and remember how faulty the memory system was in eren? He didn’t even know he was a titan. Ymir ate bert’s friend and she has no memories from the guy. In other words, wether bert is eaten or not, it doesn’t mean that they’ll be able to remove annie from the crystal as the memories shouldn’t logically follow into armin or erwin.
@leviskinnyjeans @didanwhisperer
Everyone is wanting to create a new shifter, celebrating and ect. The thing is, it isn't easy. They need to eat a shifter to regain human form, so eat Eren or Annie. I think Hanji will analyse it + I don't think Mikasa is willing to let them eat Eren
Adding the the walking dead theory, like in the walking dead its stated that they're all infected remember hannes was talking about geisha saving people from the epidemic. Well that's why people turn into Titans when they die like how people in the walking dead turn into zombies when they die.
I'm not gonna lie I've read almost every chapter of attack on Titan up until know high as hell, and to be honest I can get where the stories going clearly. Reiner and Bertholdt clearly made it back to their hometown with Ymir, who was a replacement for eren since they failed to capture him, however the ape titan is the (king reiss) of the hometown. They will return to rescue Annie and there will be a battle, historia will be a queen, the ape titan will exile RBA for becoming good, then a brawl
