I need to rewatch T.K.O.’s House

A collection of panels from TKO’s House that I liked! This episode was soooo much fun to work on and I loved getting the opportunity to get kind of intense, and absolute favorite was getting to board the sequence where KO+TKO SYNCHRONIZE INTO “PERFECT KO”. The climactic moments where two characters that struggle to even coexist, finally learn to work together to become an unstoppable force, were always the most exciting to me as a kid, and still are even now. So it was very fulfilling to work with Stevie on a sequence that could make others feel that excitement (hopefully!!). KO/TKO’s synchronization was an homage to Pacific Rim and Ian had the idea of the two joining up as abstract silhouettes which came out really nice! Huge thanks to the Revisions team for spicing up that sequence so it came out as cool as I’d envisioned it!

You know, people make fun of SF for using a butterfly net to get glorbs, but now that I think about it, the glorbs float, so using a net is actually a good idea.

TKO’s House: A Commentary and Review

The theme song was amazing as always.

TKO has issues with Shadowy Figure and wants to track him down, and KO decides to help him. They set off with each of them controlling half of the body, but Shaowy refuses to tell them anything. They only get anything out of him when they sync up and take him down. Although they don’t end up getting much information from him, KO still reassures TKO that he belongs in his mind.

I know half the lines in this episode and somehow I’m still noticing new things. Cob, I love this show. (And this episode.)

Things I noticed:

KO and TKO say “that’s not Pird!” like there was a chance it could have been. I—of course it’s not Pird. In the sewers? Maybe Crinkly Wrinkly, but not Pird.

TKO has attacked multiple customers he thought were Shadowy Figure.

This episode proves to me that TKO doesn’t want to be a villain. He just wanted to know his purpose. There’s all that stuff about how he can’t stop destroying things in TKO Rules! too. Just. Aljjlhfgskllsjg

KO says in an earlier episode that he likes being born (why did they have to word it like this) but TKO didn’t want to. Also, this line reminds me of Amethyst from Steven Universe.

KO trying not to think about his issues with Shadowy Figure is not helping TKO with his issues with Shadowy Figure. You’d think that would make it worse.

Rating: 10/10. Yep. That’s the rating.

Number of holes in roof: 1. Of course there is. What episode has TKO in the bodega without one.

(Also, thank you to those of you who’ve actually read my reviews for these past couple episodes. The last one hit me surprisingly hard and this one’s super important to me, so it’s difficult not to overreact to them.)
