I love how in the Tmnt franchise it's always an indisputable fact that Splinter will always take care of the boys. Like he'll literally have his life turned completely upside down by being mutated into a rat and then he'll see these four infant mutated turtles and literally go-

"Babies?? Babies for me?? Babies for me to adopt and cherish and teach??? Yes???? Guess I'm a dad now."

And he just rolls with it, no questions asked he just becomes their dad and honestly it's quite sweet and wonderful when you think about it.

I've got a confession to make.

The reason why I personally like writing so much Leo angst is because of the stuff that comes afterwards. He goes through hell and suffers from it and his reward is having his brothers and friends shower him in love and affection because he honestly deserves it.

Like Leo in canon gives so much for his loved ones, he protects them and guides them when they're lost and does his best to be a good big brother and leader to his team. He showers them with love and supports them in their dreams and ambitions, is somewhat like a mother hen over them and is always the first one to believe in his family and believe in their skills. He's in a way his brothers number one fan and supporter.

And he does all of it without asking for anything in return.

He loves them and sacrifices himself for them without any hesitation, because he loves them more than life itself. And a lot of times I feel like that it's sometimes forgotten about, which is why whenever I write that good old Leonardo angst I always make sure he gets that sweet, sweet validation and affection that he deserves because it's honestly something he's more than earned from everything he does. He gets turtle snuggles and nuzzles and gets to have someone else help him for a change and gets to have a much needed rest.

Eldest daughter vibe club that consists of the different versions of Leo and they all just talk about the pressures of being the oldest child and how they basically suffer and then they get their newest addition to their little club and they're expecting another Leo to join them and instead it's Rise Raph and he's nervous because oh wow that's a lot of Leo's he's seeing and he's the only Raph amongst them and he's kinda uneasy because he has no idea what they're gonna say and suddenly he just gets greeted by one of the Leo's going:

"He has it boys. He has the eldest daughter energy."

And at that point he's just accepted into their little club and no one questions it and Rise Raph ends up befriending the different versions of Leo and they do the same vice versa.

Casey Jones no matter the era is always either a dumbass, a himbo, completely feral or just downright batshit fucking unhinged and is always looking like a scruffy mother fucker who's been a shit ton of fights and will beat you to death with a stick and I wouldn't have our beloved hockey player lunatic any other way.

Ya know we're all hella lucky that Donatello is like one of the more nicer turtles amongst his brothers because he's completely fucking terrifying when you realize just how dangerous he is given his massive intellect and his hella mastery of his bo staff. Like honestly if it wasn't for his family holding him back and basically keeping this genius purple turtle grounded everyone would be to put bluntly royally fucked.

Leonardo: Oh? And what exactly did you-SWEET JESUS WHAT IS THAT????

Raphael holding up a ragged looking Casey Jones: It's a human I found, he was beating people up with a hockey stick but he's pretty cool. Anyways Leo can we keep him?

Leonardo: FOUND HIM BEATING PEOPLE UP-???? WAIT WHAT NO WE'RE NOT KEEPING HIM.

Raphael: But he's so cool Leo!!! He's got a cool mask and he's a hero like us!!!! Can we please keep him he's already become my bestie!!!!!

Leonardo:........For fuck sakes.

Someone hurts/threatens one of his babies.
