I saw someone criticising Tolkien and saying that the entire race of elves had the exact same personality, and I was imagining swapping out Legolas’ character for Feanor.
RIP to the Fellowship they wouldn’t survive the Council of Elrond.

Closeups of the most important statues on my map of Gondolin (plus some other places). Most of the Elves are described in reference to Turgon, the king of Gondolin and with time the king of all the Noldor in Beleriand. Sadly only Ingwë Ingweron of the Vanyar is still alive at the moment it takes place in time of Arda.
The white figures in the circle are the Valar, the Powers who take care of Arda.
The two trees Belthil and Glingal have been carved by Turgon himself in memory of Telperion and Laurelin, the two Trees of Aman that lit the world in the Age of Stars (and to whom refer the Years of the Trees).
Regarding the names of the Elves: names in color are Quenya, other names are Sindarin. Time measures: F.A. - the First Age, Y.T - the Years of the Trees.
My first middleeartmarch sketch this year: Lady Galadriel of Lothlórien.
I highly recommend everyone to read The Silmarillion, if you haven’t yet, because it has so many wonderful background stories of the characters that we know from The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings!
Breathe, see who is in front of you and wait. Not rushing is a point in your favor. You need to reason, study the opponent and deceive him. Make him believe he is the strongest, and when you pierce him in the chest, he will collapse with the roar of his arrogance deafening his ignorance!

It's actually a long time since I don't draw my favourite babies in Tolkien world,
Melkor and Sauron.
When I was around in that fandom all people I know were usual fans with usual likes and I was still a bit shy and insecure to share my unconventional ships.
Now I grow up from that girl and I'm not afraid anymore to give my dearest the glory they deserve.
On #tolkienreadingday I got my favorite #lotr #farawynfanart #watercolor #print from my favorite #fanartist #ankeeissmann and it has arrived! I'm so in love with it! I also got two sets of #postcards with various prints from her paintings of #thesilmarillion and lotr! Swipe to see some of them! I'm a #farawyn fan since I first read the books and she paints #faramir just like I've always imagined him! This is so magical! I'm glad I can share it with you guys!
